I had injured my hand at work and I was send to the workers compensation doctor. They told me just to make push ups and my hand is going to be fine.Well it was`t and I refused to let go,because I could`t sleep at night or work from the pain. I had to get a lawyer just to make them send me to another doctor. They did and the doctor after bunch of testings and lots of physical therapy(which by the way seemed to make my hand worse) made an xray. His diagnose was TUBERCULOSIS!!!I went for a skin test and it showed positive. After this I was taking pills for tuberculosis for 9 months.I got from my company 2500 dollars as workers compensation and never got to court.However.I had to go for a physical examination and they needed my xray, that was already done.I was told-you never had tuberculosis and your skin test showed positive, because my vaccination, that was done when I was a kid was with the actual bacteria and the doctor sad, that will always show positive.

I just got my blood work after taking the medication for tuberculosis and it showed, that my liver have been damaged by the medication. Also again, the other doctor ask the other doctor on shift what he thinks about my xray.Answer was the same-never had tuberculosis or anything else. The first doctor, that actually told me,that I had, also sad that there could be 1% chance of this being canser of the lungs. Now I feel pretrated, because they simply could`t find what was wrong with me and gave me a diagnose, just to get rid of me.The doctor and my employer. What should I do and think if you know, that my liver is being damaged by those pills and also what is wrong with the doctors in these days and can you trust them????

OK which organ of yours is infected with TB, I think probably Lungs?
You see in the initial stage of TB it is not found in the lungs known as the GOHN'S LESION. it is diagnosed on basis of evening pyrexia, lack of appetite & weight loss.
The findings are made on the basis of low Hb%, high level of ESR in the blood.
Next you go for the skin test also known as Montoux Test also known as MT.
If the above is positive >8mm than you perform the sputum test for AFB. If positive than TB treatment is started called as ATT.
The sad part is that both the doctors were a bunch of clowns, as they took your base line tests lightly.
The end result of ATT (TB treatment) will more damaging other organs specially liver.
Other complications are Bronchitises. Fibrosis of lung, and Asthma.
Later on you might develop cancer of lung as a terminal disease.
Sue both the doctors for gross negligence on their part.

Most all TB drugs increase liver enzymes. You should not only have had the TB skin test but a series of chest xrays and the absolute diagnostic test to check for TB is Acid fast sputum specimens times 3 taken 24 hours apart. The chest xray would sometimes show certain areas of cavitation that would lead a doctor to suspect TB but would not be the end diagnostic tool or should not be. Did you have a cough, night sweats, weight loss? These are things that should have been assessed. No, You cannot always trust every doctor but most practice with certain standards and guidelines.

This is the primary problem with health maintenance organizations (HMOs). You no longer go to a doctor that you trust and like but you are forced to go to a physician that is assigned to you.

But in fairness to doctors in general, I'm sure they did try their best. However, if they were not sure or not comfortable with the probable cause of the disease, they should have referred to other physicians more exprienced with the disease they were dealing with.
