No, being chubbie isn't a reason for having stretch marks. I'm very little and I've got them on my sides as well. As for a cure, I haven't found one yet, but this stuff called Scar Zone seems to work [this is my second week using it.]

Stretch marks is not only recieved by having kids. You can get stretch marks from building muscle to fast and from having a big growth spurt in a short period of time! Here is a websit that can explain how you get them, how to prevent them, and ways to get rid of them. Hope this helps. http://www.epigge.org/beauty/stretch_marks.html

I had stretch marks way before I had any kids... it's due to gaining weight, losing weight, gaining weight, losing it - sorry you got them at a young age but it happens

Overweight can do it, and they can arise even if you have not been overweight. (I have had some for years; I never bore any children, but I fathered some.) Unfortunately, there is nothing useful to be done about stretch marks.

No it does not. It is the elasticity in your skin. Genetics play a huge part. Some people are prone to this and others are not.

it depends on the elasticity in your skin- when you rapidly lose or gain weight your skin stretches quickly. try rubbing some vitamin E oil on them. everyone has them! even men.
