My wisdom tooth has barley came in and i think it might be an abscess because its coming in crooked and maybe under my other tooth. There are times when it hurts but not major pain it, kinda comes and goes.It seems as if is going into my jaw line but im not sure. Recently at night i have trouble sleeping because i stop breathing,so its gotten 2 the point where i loose lots of sleep just to stay up and concentrate on my breathing.I have no insurance or dental plans so how much would it cost 2 go to the dentist and get work if and when i have to go? Is this an abscess or something minor???HELP PLZ

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed about eight years ago and at that time, it cost me about $650 without insurance. I don't know if that price has inflated since then. I also went to a very good oral surgeon to have the procedure done. If it was abscessed, it would really hurt and be swollen. More then likely, they are just coming in at a bad angle and they need to be removed soon. If it really starts to ache, get to an oral surgeon asap...you can get an infection if left untreated.

Also, many places will work out a payment plan with you if you can't afford to pay the total amount. Call around and see what you can find out.

I recommend getting all of them removed at the same time...otherwise, you will have to go through several different recovery periods and it's not worth it.

No its not an abscess its just growing in and not fitting in with your other teeth which is causing the pain - i just had a root canal yesterday on an abscess that started Monday before last and i was in bed all last week and didn't leave the bed til Saturday i was in so much pain - when you have an abscess you know!! its the worst pain ever!! but you need to have it checked out - the breathing thing i dont think has anything to do with it but may be your body dealing with the pain in a weird way - you do need to have it checked out - look for free dental clinics in your area there are some but not everywhere - good luck!

No it is not abscessed. My two year old son had an abscessed tooth in March, and like Ashley said it would hurt and be swollen if it was abscessed.

DON'T WORRY SO MUCH ABOUT INSURANCE, COSTS, ETC. THE IMPORTANT THING IS TO SEE A DENTIST. THIS TOOTH MUST BE EXTRACTED BECAUSE IT SEEM TO BE IMPACTED AGAINST THE SECOND MOLAR.
YOU MUST SEE A PHYSICIAN FOR THE OTHER PROBLEMS WITH BREATHING, SLEEP, ETC.
