We're going to get married (second for both of us) I haven't called around yet, anyone know what we need to do to get the license?

i live in indiana. the girl needs to get a copy of her mmr shot record. there is a form that needs to be signed by a doctor. if she can not get acess to her record, she can have her blood drawn for a titer to show proof of immunity to the mmr. i work in a urgent care clinic and if you have no family doctor you should be able to go to a clinic like that. the form will need to go to the court house to obtain a marriage license.

we charge $15 to sign the form if you have proof. if no proof m then you are looking at around $100.

but.....on the form, you can say "it's aganist your religion" to recieve shots but only when you take it to the doctor's office. they have to sign off on it. you will still have to pay to get the form signed, but it saves time and trouble if you dont have extra money or can't get access to your records. especially the older you arem records may not be available.

hope this helps and makes sense.

I got married in Indiana. It was five years ago though. We got married in Ohio County, which is near Dearborn County. We had to go to the courthouse/clerk of courts in the town where we were getting married and apply for the license there. WE had to go at least 48 hours before the wedding. I don't think that changes from county to county but you should check.
