First let me say that your mom needs a reality check. You are her child and she should love you and find you beautiful no matter what your size. That's unconditional love. It's UNCONDITIONAL. anyway to answer your question, yes it is possible. I lost 20 lbs. in less than 2 months. I ate very carefully. NO I didn't count calories, but I payed attention to what I ate and how much. and when I got the munchies I didn't go to the nearest cookie. I drank a V8 or ate something good for me. Salads are great to try even when you eat out. Most place ,even fast food, offer great salads. Excercise is also important, you don't have to run a marathon to get it. If you have stairs in your house walk up and down them a few times a day. Anything that gets you moving is great exercise. So, in a nutshell there you go. It takes work and dedication. But, also you are young and puberty I am sure is setting in. Be patient the now you may not be the you in the future. Keep your chin up it will all work out =)!

Your mom is a witch. What the heck is she trying to do make you suicidal and depressed???? Go to a web site called calorie-count.com. You plug in your info and it will tell you how many calories you need to eat to lose and/or maintain your weight. It will also tell you from a health perspective if you are in fact overweight. (your mom's opinion doesn't count. unless she's a dietitian or doctor) At 13 this should not be a major concern. This website will also tell you how many calories are in the foods you like to eat. You can keep an online journal of your daily calorie intake that only you can access with a password. Don't tell your mom you are doing this because from the sounds of it she will pressure you even more. Weight loss strategies only work if YOU like it and can live with it. Please don't go overboard. Too many girls succumb to the pressure of being a bean pole. Plus, your actual weight in lbs doesn't mean anything. It's how you look. Muscle weighs more than fat too. I am 5'4" and weigh 135lbs and even my doctor was shocked because she thought I only weighed 115 to look at me. So keep that in mind.

How tall is the rest of your family? Because when I was thirteen I was chubby but then I grew taller over the years and the weight went down. A girl of thirteen should not be worried about dieting but focus on being more active, like join a soccer team or take your dog for walks. Also replace sugar recess snacks for veggies and fruit and drink lots of water instead of juice.

While, technically it is possible to lose 20lbs. in 2 months, it is not likely.
( My daughter has done this with the help and monitioring of her Dr., using specific protien shakes -- but her health depends on keeping her body chemicals balanced. This is not something to be done without close medical care.)
At 13 fast weight loss is not advised, because you are still growing and developing. Better to aim for a pound or two a week.
Your mom does not grasp the damage she is doing.

Yes, but do it so you learn the healthy way. Most inexpensive and one that works the best, is Weight Watchers. If your mom is so concerned, she can take you to meetings and pay the fee. Also, you need to incorporate (and keep it up) exercise. If you don't belong to a gym, ask you mom to walk with you in the evenings for 1/2 hr to 1 hr 5x a week.

Tell your mom that SHE isn't helping, What a b-i-itch! She made you fat and is now complaining. Your best bet is to stop eating sweets and junk food and walk another mile every day.

sweetheart, no one can loose that much weight in 2 months and you will die trying! Watch what you eat and exercise, you will lose weight. But that kind of loss is not going to happen, very unhealthy. Stand strong as yourself!!! lose some weight but don't hurt yourself trying to do it!!!!!!!!!
