Well, it is all an experiment. We never had a war on terror prior. Beyond that prior experience has shown that involving ourselves in a sovereign nation state's affairs has negative affects. The conflict between the Soviet Union and the US in Afghanistan paved the way for the Taliban, 40 years of civil war and genocide in Guatemala, etc.
How about approaching terror as it really is? A threat that does not fall with borders of a nation-state. It is everyone, there are probably cells even, probably, within the US. We cannot attack every nation that has terrorists. We need to look at it in a whole new light.

You going to share your drugs with everyone cause they sound like they are good ones.
We can not leave Iraq until they can defend themselves, the civil war that is going on right now has been going on for century's and will end long after our great great great grand kids are born. To leave would be unethical and immoral. Whether or not you believe this, we as a country saw horrific tragedy's being perpetrated by Saddam Hussein on his country men, and as ethical people we stepped in to assist the people of Iraq free them self's from this tyrant.
Most of you believe that WMD's are nuclear bombs, but they are also chemical, biological, and conventional. We found evidence of all of these and Saddam used all of them on his own country, thus giving the Iraqi people a case that was proved in their courts to convict him and in turn Hang his Sorry As*.
As far as ending the war if we do we'll have to fight the terrorist on our land, so I'd rather fight them in Iraq and Afghanistan. Than in the USA.
So if you can not see all of this you prob. don't know how the world works and I hope you wake up before it's too late.

Like it or not, the war was the experiment. To argue otherwise is intellectually dishonest (I supported the war, given what I saw and continue to see as the global trends).
Applying a kind of Annan Plan in Iraq shouldn't be dismissed, there are many that support it. Because confederation didn't work in the US doesn't mean it can't work in Iraq, and remember, as the constitution was being written and applied, the confederation still had its supporters.
Additionally, the possibilities for moving forward are often posited as an "either/or" choice. There is a continuum of options and it is everyone's civic responsibilty to dutifully consider all options.

If the Democrats succeed in "cut and run"..they would ram it down our throats that Republicans are quitters . Democrats are always on both sides of the fence , when they are not bouncing back and forth . Whatever the plan is..they vote for it ; then against it ; then whatever sounds good to them that day . The Iraqi people do not deserve liberalism and neither does America .

The result of the US invasion of Iraq was predictable, no experimentation was necessary. When you create a power vacuum there will be a fight between competing factions to fill it. This was the result when the Soviet Union lost it's influence in Eastern Europe. It lost control of the region, and this was gained by largely despotic people.
The problems in Iraq were caused by an illegal US invsion, now you have to deal with it. Unfortunately some other weak minded government leaders (like my own) have joined in and made it my problem too, even though I have disagreed with it from the start

I'm afeared (not a spelling error) that the Bush Man has really screwed up in prosecuting this war mega big time. But If Her Highness Billiary or Nancy Poo-lo-see take over the reigns as Commie in Chief, this nation will finally achieve third world status in only one term! Both Hilliary Clinton and the Nancy P. lady have elevators that can't even get off the first floor! They're both intellectual featherweights..... especially Nancy Pelosi. I truly and honestly believe that she isn't even the dimmest star in the sky. Why is she not in jail awaiting trial for violation of the Logan Act???

democrats are fools. Politicians live poll to poll. Why don't they poll the millitary and see if they want to leave in defiet? They want to win. Telling the enemy we allready lost does what?
Are people should not die for nothing. War is ugly but it is a fact of life. These terrorrists are dedicated to victory at all cost. Do we send suicide bombers or teach twelve years olds to behead someone? No, we preffrer peace.
Leaving and surrendering will not end the war just bring it home.

it truly is a nasty theory, it truly is how we were given the paper tiger call, and did you recognize who they were given the techniques on the thanks to strive against us from? Viet Nam definite, they stated that individuals are cry children and they in straightforward words very last till a number of them get killed then a gaggle of do gooders start up to make a fuss and the politicians all carry the boys decrease back defeated and it does a nasty pastime on the moral of the boys and the persons. they honestly gave the terrorists advice on the thanks to win the warfare. IF we stay good and strive against the low existence's then we can win, yet no longer with a gaggle of pansies on our section. dollar up and be difficult, u . s . a . did not get to the precise via crying over a carry nail.

We need to stick to it and support the Iraqi People and their attempt to move, at least, into the 20th century. Any other option signals weakness and defeat and will cause Iraq to fall further into the sand.
