We found it in the basement of the house my family just bought.Rumor has it that this house used to belong to a mafia family before we bought it and the old man that died was in the mafia. My family doesn't think that this man looks the part but I do.We are guessing it to be from the 1940's all the way me up to the 1960's.Can anyone tell?

Is anything written or printed on the back? Sometimes you can even tell by the type of paper the picture is printed on. All I can tell from the picture is that he took it himself, by stretching his arms in front of him and holding the camera on himself. His hairstyle is unusual, and I can't date it to any era. He looks like he could be of Italian descent, though, so maybe mafia.

it does look like its from the 50's or 60's, but not the 40's. There's really no way to tell when a photo is from unless its timestamped or there is a lot of evicence in the background

It's very hard to tell. My first impression is the 50's or 60's. I think he does look the part too.
