so after my phone or laptop are done charging, is it safe to leave them plugged in? is it using energy if it still is plugged in?

no, i know it wont use energy when its done charging. what happens if i unplug my phone after its done charging, but leave the charged plugged in??? will that waste energy or be dangerous?

Its not going to hurt, but they will still consume a small amount of energy even when not charging. This is because of small inefficiencies in the transformer inside. For zero energy use its best to unplug it.

Yes it is perfectly safe to leave the charger plugged in even though the phone or laptop is not connected. However it is still consuming a small amount of electricity. If you are concerned about this useage unplug the charger. Or you can plug the chargers into a power strip and turn the power strip off after you are finished recharging.

Well, if you want to keep your battery at 100%, then it would be a good idea to keep it plugged in. I keep my laptop charged all day and it is working fine. It is a total different story about cellphones. If you keep the cord for it plugged in for a long time, your cellphone gets really hot and starts to work slow.
