They are called dog years because animals age 7 times faster than humans. At one year old puppies/kittens are already young children, at 2 teenagers 3 and up adults at 10-12 elderly. in 10 years we haven't aged much at all but a dog has lived it's life. Depending on size there is usually 7 human years to one dog year, if you have a larger heavier dog the number decreases as larger dogs age quicker and have a shorter life span.
Hope that helps.

It all depends on the breed of dog. Smaller dogs live longer then large dogs. If you take a small breed that will live 15 years then you can figure it is about 5 years per year for a human. For a large breed that has a life span of 12 years it is about 7 years a year for a human.

Dogs body systems work differently that people. Their hearts beat faster and their metabolism is different. A dog or cat's age in animal years is directly related to their weight. Big dogs hearts work harder than small dogs, that's why big dogs, like great danes, only live about 7 years while small dogs like toy poodle can live as long as 17 years. Here's a good website that talks about how pets age and what factors go into determining their animal age.

Dogs don't live as long, so people want to try and relate the dogs to themselves, so we made it up.
You know, like if a dog lives 20 years, and a human lives 100 years, then if you said a dog is 10 years old, that's like 50 years old in a human.

this is an straightforward one. If the worldwide gets too warm, we've shown that we are able to proceed to exist it because of the fact the "Cradles of Civilization" have been in warm, dry areas. If the worldwide gets chilly, then we've already shown that we are able to stand up to ice a while, and that's with out any "intense" technologies. If the worldwide gets overpopulated, this is going to, out of necessity, stability itself out. i do no longer think of we would desire to tension approximately surviving the subsequent one hundred years. the real question is a thank you to we save the subsequent one hundred years from starting to be the subsequent dark Age.
