i've been using ares ultra for months now and it's been working great but suddenly it won't let me download more than one file at a time. if i add more than one file to my download queue only the last file will connect and download, all the others will say 'leech paused'. even when the files do try to connect and download they're a lot slower and sometimes don't connect at all. i've checked all my settings and nothing has changed in them, i have my download limit set at 10 at a time, so i'm not sure why this is happening. the only thing i can think of is that it's some windows update that is interfering with my downloads. does anybody have any idea why this might be happening? or can you offer any advice?

The clue to your problem is right there in your question ... "leech paused". Ares and other P2P programs have a feature for users to give full participants priority, and to cut off "leeches". There is also a place to determine what constitutes a "leech".
So ... what is a leech? it is someone who is wanting to download files, but isn't offering programs to upload. Most people set "leech protection" at around 25-100 files, so that means if you don't have at least that many files on your computer available for other people to download from you, you will continue to be paused.
