I am not really a DEI fan, either. If Sr was alive, people would be split. Since he is not, the fans will follow Jr. Many people don't like Theresa. To borrow words from Harvick, they think she is a "deadbeat owner". DEI doesn't have big enough names with Menard and Truex. Jr fans will follow Jr, regardless if it is to RCR or he expands JR Motorsports.
Sr did build his team for his children. However, Theresa helped him build it. I think that they ownership should have been split in the will. Maybe Theresa 50% with 12.5% going to each of the 4 children. That's just an example. But, the children should have a portion of the company, not 100% to Theresa. Then again, Sr always made his kids work for something. He never gave handouts.

Definately the Earnhardt Jr. Team. Face it if you are a Dale Earnhardt fan, would you rather watch his son or the widows team? Well if DEI does not have Jr., they will get a racer but who will it be? I believe most people do not agree with his scrooge stepmother, it should be the kids team, a legacy passed down from thier father to be passed down generations. Well if she wants to ruin it, start your own.....I believe Dale would want him to do that. I also believe it will take pressure off of Jr. and he might start winning some more races. He can put togeter a team.

I am a huge Dale Jr fan and will follow him wherever he chooses to go. Like you said, I think that DEI is nothing without Dale Jr. I was also a fan of Dale Earnhardt and I would hate to see the company go down. Teresa needs to give Dale Jr majority ownership so maybe he can step up and get DEI back to being one of the most successful teams in NASCAR.

Everybody knows Dale built DEI for the kids. Problem is he didnt have a will. When he felt the 4 kids were ready for ownership he would have given it to them. Id follow Jr if he left. The real loser in all of it is Truex because he cant leave until his contract runs out. He is a good driver. If Jr leaves DEI will be done. The current cars are good but not at the top with Hendrick, Gibbs, and RCR.

I see Dale, Jr. in the #3 or the #25 (or 5) Bud automobile next year. He has mentioned that he somewhat does not desire to enhance JR Motorsports to run Cup. DEI has shown that they won't be able to positioned Jr. in a aggressive experience. Gibbs is an prolonged shot and the different communities are out of the question. notice: Dale Earnhardt included became into named as such with the aid of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. while he began the corporation, long till now Jr. ever drove a Cup automobile (he won 2 Busch titles for DEI).

I know I am probably in the minority here but when Sr. was with us, if he couldn't win, any one in a Chevy was some what ok with me. When DEI moved to the Cup because it was DEI, I wanted Sr., DEI, then Chevy. Quickly that became Sr., Jr., DEI, Chevy. Yeah I cheered for Michael Waltrip, sue me. I believe I would stay exactly the same, Jr., DEI, Chevy. To me it is DEI regardless of who is running it. I don't like the idea that Jr. may not be in a DEI car but than again I feel a little excitement to see what he can do elsewhere if it came down to it.

The problem with ALL this is....HE LEFT NO WILL !
So, just like any of you women who might lose their husbands, where there is no will, the wife will assume ALL control over the estate. Thus Teresa inherited DEI. Please note, she invested her OWN MONEY also in DEI. I know you Jr. fans have big egos but try and see BOTH SIDES, instead of just 1.
PS. There is a firm offer put on the table IF Dale Jr. wants to buy controling interest....roughly $55 million dollars and he can have it.

I would follow Junior all the way. DEI is on a decline to becoming a mid-level team. Junior sees this, so he is going to do whatever he can to be successful, be it he leaves for Childress or he takes the reins and hires the right people. To be fair, DEI has been running decently the past few weeks, but their engine package is still behind the powerhouses of Hendrick and Childress, as evidenced by the Daytona 500. Without Earnhardt, DEI will become a lower/middle tier team like the Pettys or the Wood brothers. Really, do we expect Paul Menard to win a race in the near future without better equipment?

I would follow the Earnhardt Jr. team. I think if Jr. were to start up a team he would have a lot of interest from sponsors besides Budweiser. I don't think any one superstar would want to go to DEI after Jr. leaves for fear of it crumbling and because they lack the technology other teams have.

I think it probably was not in the will because Dale Sr. thought he would be there to carry it out. Darrell Waltrip has said many times how much Dale Sr. talked about building that team to leave for the children. If Junior leaves, I will still cheer him on, and I will still cheer DEI on. The 8 car would still be a very good ride that someone looking for a change would jump at. (Ryan Newman, Greg Biffle etc)
