I won't preach to you. I don't know if drinking that much milk is really good for you and I doubt that it will cure a hangover.
Here is what I do before I go out drinking:
1- Drink a glass full of buttermilk. If you do not like buttermilk, drink whole milk and make that at least 2-3 glasses before you actually start drinking.
2- I usually take some B vitamins before going out. Alcohol destroys the B in your system and that is another reason why you get a hangover.
3- On the day of your hangover, drink tomato juice (no booze) and take some B vitamins. The B vitamin will replenish your system.. This is what I use to do. I quit drinking years ago.

It it stays in your stomach then it is fine, if it makes you have dihearra or neausous then I wouldn't do it. The reason you might be craving is since your body is dehydrated, and you need to re-hydrate it by drinking fluids and milk not only has fluid it also has good scource of vitamins and healthy ingredients your body needs. I'm no doctor but I think this makes sense.

I have known people who have ended up packing on the pounds after doing that a couple times a week for about 5-10 years.

Your body craves things when it's deficient in something

Like I'll start craving deer jerky when my vitamin levels are low

there's probably something the milk has that your body needs after you drink.

And as long as you're not drinking a gallon in one hour you'll be fine

Large amounts of milk can make someone sick, if drinken too quickly. As long as you dont do it a lot, I would say its fine.

yes...however you might want to drink the milk before or while you are binging...you are getting dehydrated and that is what causes the hangover...it will also be worse if you vomit fluids and go straight to bed...fluids are your friends!
