Warts are caused by a group of viruses called HPV, or Human Papillomia Virus. The bump called the wart is the symptom of those virii. Treatments include over the counter liquid drops of salicylic acid, nitrogen freezing them off by a doctor, laser removal, and various others. Cutting the wart is a good way to spread it and not recommended. Make an appointment with a doctor if you don't want to do the over the counter process or if you have many of them. Don't touch the wart then touch other parts of your body without washing your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. I hope this helps.

Warts can be very stubborn to get rid of. It is very painful and difficult to cut out a wart because the root usually goes quite deep into the skin. The doctor has somethng they can freeze them off with, it usually takes a few times of the liquid nitro to make them disapear. or you could go to the pharmacy and buy something called duoplant. This is what i used on my daughters ward, Every night before bed i would soak the foot, (or where ever the wart is) and then when the skin is soft, take a foot callus file and gently file off the top , dont make it bleed, then after that i would apply the duoplant cream, and cover it with a bandaid, i did this sometimes a few times a day. It went within a few weeks, I did this to both of my daughters, and the warts were large, be patient, and make sure you soak and file before applying the duoplant, i have tried other things from the store, and the only things that worked well was the duoplant.

I had warts for a few years on my hands. I basically cut the surface off with a pair of fingernail clippers (more painful than you may expect). Then I covered the area with the OTC wart remover stuff. It's very acidic and it will sting like hell, but eventually the wart shrivelled up and went away.

Where are they?

1) On your feet? Planters warts can be removed with wart pads (low acid) and gently scraped off as the skin becomes dead and white.

2) On your hands? They can be removed by freezing or acid, but I would suggest going to a doctor.

I had warts on my feet for years growing up. We tried everything. Eventually I just had to get them cut out. I had some on my hands at the same time too, and when the ones on my feet were cut out the ones on my hands went away on their own.

You can go to the doctor and get them burned or frozen off, or you can buy some medicine that removes warts. You can usually find it at drug store or pharmacy.

cutting a wart does no good as they grow roots, and will come right back. The wart needs to be frozen with liquid nitrogen to kill the entire virus....see your doctor.

go to the pharmacy and get a wart remover they can either be like a bandaid kind or they now have that stuff that freezes it off.
