Yes, this is normal. It's gray for two reasons:
A new tattoo is brighter as the ink is not just at the permanent level, but also some is at the higher skin levels that are eventually shed. The first shedding is 4-7 days (approximately), but most people have at least one more. The latter peelings have smaller skin bits. The first one is the classic sunburn-like peel.
This lower skin that is now shown isn't quite ready for prime time. It's likely to be a little gray, maybe a little shiny or leathery looking. Give your body some time to fully regenerate the dermis and epidermis, roughly 1-3 months, before you worry about brightness or touchups.
This is pretty much the same effect if you skin your knee or peel from a sunburn, if that helps out.

Yes, that is normal for the tattoo to look of color. The layers of the skin have been damaged by the needle piercing the skin and goes through a process of healing that can make the black/greenish color look gray. I have seen over fifty tattoos do that. It is normal. However, if the color remains grayish after complete healing (2 weeks or more) return to the parlor where the tattoo was done. What ever you do don't peel the scab that develops, as it can remove the ink.

i do no longer understand approximately usual, yet I certainly have a tattoo on my back that replaced into itchy for extra or less 6 months, then it felt particularly chilly like ice replaced into pressed against my dermis for some months after, and now it has a numb spot around the tattoo and radiating out approximately an inch around the fringe. I had an hypersensitive reaction to the dye that led to some localized nerve injury. thankfully my tattoo is only approximately 2 inches in diameter. in view which you have different tattoos this is in all probability in straight forward terms a extra soft section, and could in all probability heal devoid of problems. good success.

The discoloration is normal to a degree, its just healing, thats all, if the tattoo is peeling, stop the neosporin now, just use a good lotion 2x a day, black work doesnt hurt to go dry, its best to let it breathe, as opposed to swarming it with slime, its not healing properly, it will go away and will be black , dont worry, if not , go see your artist again for another sitting, Only reason I know so much is my husband has sleeves of all black and grey, he has experienced the same thing, with no probs, just let it heal.

just keep caring for it the way you were told to and after it has been 30 days take a look at it and see what you think. sometimes your skin during healing makes the tattoo look a little different. it is likely that it has faded a little bit because solid black tattoos won't keep a uniform color thruout on the first application. just wait it out and see what you think in three weeks.

It just sounds like fading. All tattoos do this, especially black, because it is such a pigmented colour. The only thing you can do about the colour is to go back to your artist and ask for a touch up. All artists (that are reputable) should do free touch ups within the first year.

Neosporin is designed to draw foreign objects out of wounds. NEVER,NEVER,NEVER use it for tattoo aftercare! It is sucking the ink out of your tattoo...you've ruined it.
Also Jada A has no idea what she is talking about. If the tattoo were infected it would be red well beyond the edges of the tattoo, swollen, hot and leaking pus. Believe me there is no mistaking that when it happens. I love it when people who have never had a tattoo and know nothing about them attempt to raise alarms about infection!

It'll happen. The VERY DARK BLACK you used to have was the ink that was supposed to stay to penetrate the skin and you had to keep it moistened. It's going to stay that way, maybe get worst, depending on how well you take care of it, and how well you TOOK care of it when you first got it.
