I'm NOT purging and I'm not trying to lose weight either. I'm 5'3'' and weigh 135 lbs. I don't eat during school lunch because I prefer to do school work during that time instead... besides the school lunch sucks...

NO NO NO, you do not have an eating disorder if you do not think your fat and need to lose weight. Eating disorders are mental, even though the action of having one is physical. You are on the other hand obviously concerned about it, your a smart girl because skipping meals is unheatlhy and dangerous. If you'd like to read some information I put together on a website, here's a great one

I am 22 and a recovering bulimic (20 months-woohoo!). Anorexia is skipping meals with the intention of losing weight, not just because you have other things to do. Try packing some fruit in your backpack to snack on while studying during lunch, or some mixed nuts. A protein bar, something. If you have any questions please email me and let me know, I have a lot of information and am currently working in an apprentiship program to councel girls who struggle with eating disorders.
Hope this helps, Good luck

It is not bulimia, but it is without a doubt an eating disorder. An eating disorder can be anything from starving yourself to barfing intentionally after eating and even over eating or eating compulsively. This is extremely unhealthy and I advise if you want to lose weight or simply not overeat, chew slower, the brain takes 20 minutes to realize that your stomach is full. So when you are full and still eating, it means you've been full for 20 minutes! Also exercise is extremely good for you, it doesn't have to be hard, you can simply walk a little bit a day and it will make a difference. Please don't let people tell you or show you how you should be, be proud of who you are no matter how you look, and remember one thing, food tastes great but when you're done over stuffing yourself with it, will it mean anything to you? Hope I could help.

Yes you are, and this is not a healthy way to lose the weight need I remind you. You have a cross-case of Anorexia-nervosa and Bulimia. Bulimia or better known as one purging their food, can cause symptoms such as kidney failure, esophagus rupture or acid burn - eventually causing acid reflux disease, Bowel deterioration which can set up serious infection, heart failure as well as heart murmurs, malnutrition, rapid weight gain and loss during different stages of binging and purging, slowed metabolism, an imbalance in electrolytes, inflammation of the esophagus, salivary glands, and jaw (in other words they swell), problems with teeth, gums, and lips such as decay, chronic irregular bowel movements due to abusive laxatives (and eventually it gets to the point where you can't control them anymore),depression, low self-esteem, missed menstrual cycles in women, joint deterioration, dry skin, anemia, bloated from water retention and swelling, death, and even more...

The best way to lose weight is to eat portion sizes only of food, exercise at least 20 to 30 minutes a day, and drink 2 liters of water EVERY DAY. Please do not continue with this behavior fore it is harmful and can even fatal to you. If you need any information on proper weight loss feel free to email me at dark-harmony@hotmail.com
