SHe's the skinniest thing ever, she only weighs 70 pounds, at 5"0, and she is 14 years old, and this is what she eats every day:
Breakfast: A Cup Of Water
Lunch: A cup of water
Dinner: Diet Coke
Is this normal?
I am really worried about her, but if I tell she will hate me, and if I don't, I'm scared that she can get hurt.
What should I do?
She is tooskinny, RIght?

You are a good friend to be concerned and yes as you already know she is not getting any nutrition and her body and her brain can't grow without nutrition. She needs to learn to eat healthy and her parents need to know (it's sad if they don't know), be her friend now before it's too late. If you can't get through to her then try a trusted teacher, or counselor at school, offer to go with her to talk to someone.

That seems skinny to me. I'm an inch shorter and when I was 14 I weighed 80 pounds.

She obviously doesn't feel too skinny if she's only drinking water and diet coke.

Attempt to convince her she has some other kind of ailment and maybe she'll go to the doctor. Her parents apparently don't think she's too skinny if they're not asking her to eat.

Heya! My names Toni and I'm 22, I was bulimic for 4 years (now been in recovery for 18 months.. woohoo!), You have goo reason to be worried about your friend, she isn't eating ANY calories and definatley has an eating disorder. I wish one of my friends had done the research and got information to approach me with to come and me to help. Here is a site go and read up on everything that has to do with anorexia so you are informed, this will help a good deal with when you talk to your friend, or get her help
http://www.myeatingdisorder.com
When you talk to her don't tell her to "just stop" and dont tell her "you know how she feels", but tell her about the dangers of it, real dangers that are hidden inside. I never had any problems being bulimic and I thought all the "health problems" were a load of crock... until now. I am 22 years old, have a disease in my esophagus from the stomache acid coming up which makes it hurt to eat or swallow (I was on prescriptions for a long time to help heal it), I had holes in my stomach lining, ulcers in my intestines, my hair fell out by the handful, dark circles under my eyes, briddle fingernails to the point the were falling off, I was on medicine just ott be able to go to thre bathroom and above everything else I may not be able to get pregnant because of the health issues that are inside me. It is dissapointing now that I have been married a few years and my husband and I have been having problems getting pregnant. If your friend won't listen, GET HER HELP, find an adult you trust that will listen, let them know of how serious this is, and it is SO not something to take lightly ok. Sounds like your on track with talking about it, now I am giving you step two, get her help. You sound like a great friend, I wish I would have had someone like you in my life 6 years ago... on that website it has lists of places you can call and get help etc if needed. Otherwise, talk to your parents, her parents, a youth pastor, school councelor,, anyone that you trust and that will help you to get her help...
Good luck, your a great friend.
**HUGS** Toni Lynne ;)
PS a good friend of mine, Kat died last july of conjestive heart failure, of anorexia. She was only 23 years old. Get your friend some help as soon as possible, before her body starts starving inside and she dies of organ failure or something. Good luck to you both.

***ALERT****you need to not let this go on any futhur. Tell her parents. She probobly will get mad at you, but her health is more important. She'll thank you later when she gets better. There is a way to live and eat to stay at a healthy weight.

yea she needs to eat more.
but would you rather her hate you and get help,or have her still like you and possibly get hurt? its a tough choice but you have to think about her....she may be mad if you tell her parents-but just thinki-then she'll get help. so that would be best for her. have you tried to talk to her about it??? she is wayy to skinny.
