The drinks are about the same price you would pay in a nice bar in your hometown. Mixed drinks are around $6 to $7 and beer is around $4. Do not forget that 15% tip is automatically added onto the drink price. It does not matter if you get your drink served to you by a bartender or a server, the 15% is always added on.

Sure, you can always take some kind of alcohol on board. I do that with a wonderful drink called rum cream. I add it to coffee and it is great. However, this is a fun time for you. Do not just drink in your cabin with the stowed away booze. Go to the lounges and order a drink or two. You can always order ice-water with no cost and just enjoy the lounges with their music and dancing for free.

They're pretty expensive. And what do you mean by drinks? Soda is like three dollars a bottle or $45 a week for all you want. I don't know about alcoholic drinks though. I don't drink. When/where are you going on your cruise? I'm so jealous. I loved the Norwegian Star.

I have been on many Norwegian ships and the drink prices are pretty much standard on all cruise lines. Beer and wine (glass) will be about $4.50 to $5.50, depending on what brand, plus a 15 to 17% gratuity added to each tab. Mixed bar drinks like margarita, Pina Colata, etc. will generally be about $6. to $7.00, plus gratuity. Name brand drinks will be slightly more. You can cut your drink tab some by asking for the fancy drinks that they offer in a plain non-souvenier glass. It will save you about a dollar a drink. Also, get to know a bar tender or two and they will make stronger drinks for you.

they wouldn't show you a price list because you would be shocked. Drinks on a cruise ship are very overpriced. I'd brink my own liquor in water bottles or just extra bagged in your luggage.Don't leave them out (in sight) in your cabin and ditch the empties in a public area!
