The US says that it will hurt the economy and money would be lost. The way I see it, they should invest money right now for cleaner technologies. All of the people who will be ill from inhaling all the gases would be a much bigger burden on the economy. We, in the US, tend only to see the short-term goals. We need to think more long-term like the people in Japan.

The Kyoto Protocol is a big bunch of b.s. that other countries are trying to perpetrate on First World countries! The U.S. stance should remain steadfast against it!

What ever happened to that dire threat of "Global Cooling" back in the 1970s?

Kyoto just hasn't worked. Some nations didn't sign and others didn't live up to their responsibilities.

Now that global warming has been proven to be real, mostly caused by us, and a serious threat, I think we can get a new and better treaty.

Thank God we didn't sign it....it was the ultimate con game from the UN. Get ahold of it and read it...China is exempt for openers....who needs the rest of starving world to tell us that we should be a stone age country like them so they feeeeel good. The U.S. is bad because we are the best..screw them..
