What Religion you belong to or believe in is not important, if you were the last person on earth what religion would you choose?
if it were just you and God, left on this earth the only one you could disappoint would be yourself, Because God knows about human frailties and poor decisions, that is why he is always forgiving people for their sin's. he know what were up against. but the question you must answer is what would God expect of you?

Most religions have a higher being. Some even have more then one. The only thing to do is to research, and see which religion fits you best.

I think that if you decide because we tell you to go to a religion then you won'r really follow that religion. The best thing is to go read religious books and see which one has the most things that are true now. and then you decide. For me islam is good. No one can force you, but read the quran and most of the signs that were predicted by muslim prophet are comming true. So that seems interesting. But the decision is yours you go with the religion you feel most comfortable with and if someone critisizes you can talk back and prove them wrong.

I believe in a higher being but I wouldn't join a religion unless it practiced exactly what I believe. No sense comprimising your beliefs for companionship- especially when you can go to like a Unitarian Universalist (multi religious) church if you want that.

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

whatever one you feel the most comfortable with -
I believe in a higher being and I haven't joined any of them
I don't think it's a requirement to join - all you have to do is believe.

True, that is something you will have to decide for yourself. I can tell you that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints satisfies all my needs and requirements. I feel the truth of the doctrine deep in my soul. I know that it is indeed the Church of Jesus Christ with His priesthood authority led by prophets and apostles with modern revelation to define God's will for us. I don't expect you to take my word for it. You have to study it out in your mind and ask God if it is true. Then, if you ask with a sincere heart, having faith in Christ, He will reveal the truth of it to you by the power of the Holy Ghost.
At this point, you have nothing to lose by investigating and everything to gain.

Why ruin belief with dogma.

Keep it simple if you have to join; go with something that doesn't try to bog you down with piles of rituals and taboos.

you might want to become a Unitarian Universalist. It's a really open religion, and would help you figure out your Truth.

Research it, you might be glad you did.
