No I don't.

There was a creation. It just had nothing to do with god and it was billions and billions of years ago, not in 4004 BC.

There was a Jesus but he never called himself the Christ. That is an erroneous designation given to him by his followers.

There are many people having their lives changed. Some for good, some for bad. There are people getting divorced and people staying married. There are people causing problems and people working to solve them. Some of the people on both sides of these dichotomies are christian, some are not. So what?

As far as historical evidence, there is no historical evidence for any of the bible's more preposterous claims. We have abundant historical evidence that the universe is older than 4004 BC. We have historical evidence of civilizations that existed during the alleged time of the flood but were not harmed. We have historical evidence that the pyramids were built by free workers, not slaves. Lastly, we have historical evidence that Jesus was married to someone named Mary Magdalene, that he had a son, and that his bones existed and were buried in a family tomb.

Creation has yet to be proven - so there is no need to disprove anything involved with it. The Bible is a work of fiction. There is scant evidence that Jesus was an actual living person. Personal experiences mean squat. Historical evidence of WHAT?? The city of Troy was once thought to be nothing more than a legend, written about in the Oddysee by Homer. Because it has been found, I guess this means that the Greek God pantheon is also historically accurate? Failed marriages and societal problems - easy to explain - why cant the majority of Christians who marry stay married? Why such a high divorce rate? HYPOCRISY.

No, it is not hard at all to not beleive in that which does not exist.

Disprove creation? Easy. Consensus does not equal fact.

Disprove the bible? Sorry, the bible does exist. I can see it, touch it, and read it. The bible concretely and obviously exists.

The stories IN the bible cannot be proven, however. A global flood that lasted 40 days (or was it 150?) with ten million different species on a single boat? Not at all possible by any stretch of logic. An olive tree growing FULLY in a week (remember that Noah's dove returned with an olive branch?) is also impossible.

It is more likely that the stories of misunderstood events were written by those without the scientific background that we have today. Of COURSE everything is "magic" to a primitive people! Got something you can't explain? It must be God!

People's lives changed? You mean like thousands of innocent Egyptian children that God killed on a whim? Or are you referring to Job's torture brought on by a wager between God and Satan?

Just as many people have changed their lives for the better by REMOVING God from their lives, myself included.

Historical evidence, huh? Why is there so little history of the Inca and mayan people? Because they were all killed, and history is ALWAYS written by the victorious. Just because Christians killed "heathens" doesn't make Christianity correct. Maybe that falls under the "people's lives changed" category.

Failed marriages and societal problems? Like Ted Haggard being a shining beacon of God's true glory? Perhaps one must molest a minimum of five altar boys to be raptured then? Religion has been the cause of more wars, death and destruction in the history of humanity than any other event. So why would I want to be a part of it?

If this totalitarian, destructive, justified mindless murder and deceit is what God represents, then no, I choose not to believe in God. Nothing can be all that Christianity preaches yet allow such hatred and be real.

No, atheists don't have to disprove anything. Believers are the ones with the fantastical story to tell. (About invisible super-beings, the entire universe being created in 6 days, etc. etc.) That would be like saying that in order to be Christian YOU first need to disprove Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Pagan religions, etc. etc.
Lives can change without the existence of a deity, there is NO historical evidence indicating that there IS a deity out there, there is only stories based on belief. And as for failed marriages and societal problems, if you looked up the statistics, you'd know that Christians have the largest percentage of failed marriages, and the largest amount of people in prison. (Approx 75% of Americans are Christians, and approx 75% of the prison population is Christian, while approx 6-15% of Americans are atheist, and LESS than 1% of the prison population is atheist.)

Actually, since I was born without any preconceived ideas about god, your argument is flawed. You have to accept all of those things that you mentioned with nearly blind faith, since most can be refuted either through logic or science. The Bible was written by men and pieced together eventually, so it cannot be taken seriously by anyone who actually uses logic. Creationism is ridiculous and as likely as my being able to fly into outer space and spin Jupiter on my finger like a basketball. Jesus died and could not have been resurrected, unless you believe in zombies. Lives were changed through every religion that ever existed. Historical evidence shows the Earth has been around for much longer than the Bible claims. The U.S. has the world's highest rate of belief in god outside the Middle East, yet it also boasts one the highest divorce rates. Societal problems have increased since the 50's, when the phrase "under God" was added to the Pledge of Allegiance.

All those things you mentioned is exactly why it is obvious there is no god.
Creation? - story time and myth with nothing to support it, nothing to disprove
The Bible? - christian mythology, fairie tales
Peoples lives changed? That happens every day to non god believing people worldwide.
Historical evidence? - from what? the bible? the bible is not a history book. Any historical evidence you claim from the bible is more than likely 99% wrong.
Failed marriages? - christians have a higher divorce rate than atheists, explain that one.

creation - disproven and impossible
the bible - full of contradictions and errors
Jesus Christ - no real evidence but the bible that the man even existed, tons of similar stories at the same time about virgin births and miracles
Lives changed - made up warm fuzzy feelings with no factual basis
historical evidence - of god? ummmm. . no
failed marriages - atheists have a greater success rate. .as do homosexuals than christian marriages
societal problems - you mean like the crusades?

And I can explain all of that using about 14 neurons (the part that makes sense anyway) - but not to your satisfaction. I have to disprove societal problems? Why?
