My 19 month old baby girl is a really picky eater, but here is what she likes:

Breakfast:
cereal with milk and banana
graham crackers and peanut butter
bagel with cream cheese or jam
rice cakes with peanut butter or jam
scrambled eggs and cheese

Lunch or dinner:

macaroni and cheese
pasta (of any kind)
grilled cheese on wheat
rice (she loves fried rice)
beans
tortilla
broccoli
carrots

I've heard she will eat tuna sandwich, but I haven't tried that at home

chicken soup with noodles
corn

She also loves ice cream now, which I let her have because she is still underweight. I give it to her after she eats her dinner.

Stop with the chicken nuggets and hotdogs, she can survive well without them. :) Although she is still young, she still needs healthy and "exotic" foods. If she lives on "pb&j sandwiches with no crusts", she will grow up to be a very picky eater. I know some kids who ate mostly that type of barbeque foods, and they wont touch a fruit or vegetable. Their salad is a tiney pice of lettuce, or a cherry from a kiddy-cocktail!
Kids don't need the kid's meal, that is only for Americans. Asian have their kids eating spicy foods and rice by her age. Let her try more interesting foods like: rice, potatoes (mashed), lots of raw vegetables (chopped thinly), beans, even asparagus!

(I hope I don't sound crazy or mean... :) ?)

I am always looking for new things to feed my twenty month old. She loves cereal in the morning, kix, cheerios, even honey bunches of oats, and she loves eggs. I recently tried the waffle sticks (big hit). Lunch and dinner is pretty much what i cook unless i feel like giving her a gerber graduate meal which she loves every variety. She loves spinach, brocolli, salad. Oh yeah spaghetti,(cut up). The chicken nugget thing did not go over very well, but she loves chicken drumettes.

19 month olds can pretty much eat everything u eat. Just remember that that little body needs a lot of vitamins. My 20 month old loves to eat. I boil broccoli, carrots, corn, with chicken. The flavor of the chicken penetrates the veggies.. HE LOVES IT!!!!! baked potatoes with sour cream. Try to give her 2 fruits a day (seedless grapes are a great snack). whatever you do try to always include veggies, she will grow up loving them not hating them. Instead of feeding her junk food you can blend strawberries, raspberries with water or milk, put it in a ice tray and freeze them.... Trust me there are so many things to make for them. And trust me when I say it, I am a single mom that works full time and a part time, so the easier the meal the better. Just think about her health and Lots of love is the best ingredient. You will see!!! Let me know if you get any good advice for a fast good meal.

At 19 months I fed my daughter whatever the rest of the family was eating...just in smaller bites :) By limiting your child to "kid-friendly" foods like hot-dogs and chicken nuggets, you are not teaching her to appreciate new flavors and textures.

Of course, there are times when my daughter (now 26 months) didn't want what we were eating, and at those times, she had the choice to eat what we were eating or be hungry. She now eats all sorts of wonderful healthy foods.

You might also try offering beans (any kind that comes in a can) as an easy, healthy, protein packed snack. My daughter loves them! Black beans are her favorite :) She also loves lentil soup, spinach, grilled chicken, brown rice, cottage cheese, yogurt, bagels, and green beans.

The trick is to not be lazy with it and only choose foods that are easy to cook and serve. You might find that you enjoy cooking healthy meals and your diet will improve right along with your toddler's!

Good luck!

Oh great mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and hot dogs for lunch...That's NOT healthy. That is PURE junk. You need to rent a couple of movies..."Fast Food Nation" and "Super Size Me". I would suggest you read the books but if you're feeding hot dogs, chicken nuggets and mac and cheese to your kid all the time I wouldn't expect you to be able to read.
Try carrot sticks, apple slices, pineappple bits, yougurt. COOK pasta and rice. For breakfast BREAK SOME EGGS and make an omelete, or pancakes/waffles. No wonder today's kids are obese...mac and cheese, hot dogs and mcnuggest are full of FAT.

she can really eat almost anything other than peanut butter, (wait til 2-3 years) and fish (wait til she is 2)
choking hazards are large pcs of food (cut the nuggets) hot dogs-cut long ways then chop up. hard candy, whole grapes or anything round that may get stick in her throat.
she can eat pretty much with you, breakfast she can have things like oatmeal, muffins, any fruits, cereal, eggs, toast ...
lunch & dinner: sandwhiches, cut up veggies, fruits, soups, potatoes (sweet potatoes) any meat that is very soft and cut up small. no steak or pork chops. maybe the gerber graduates would work if your having these meats for dinner. watch how many hot dogs and chicken nuggets you are giving her except homemade chicken nuggets as they really are not very healthy.

Salads, my children loves their trees with sauce LOL
I make them little salads with lettuce, tomatoes cucumbers and cheese then I put some dressing on it. MY 3 year old can eat 2 bowls before he's done. ANd my 2 year old is getting close to that. But if you do this dont' be surprise if her face gets red where the dressing was. Its nothing serious its just a tiny allergic reaction to the acidic stuff in it. My kids love lucky charms, pb&j sandwichs. grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Pigs in a blanket, scrambled eggs with a little bit of cheese in it. Waffles, pancakes, french toast. Anything you eat she can eat just cut it up smaller.

My two children both ate the same as myself and my partner.
I used a food blender to blend roast dinner, pasta meals, fruit, veg, your baby will eat as you do.
Breakfast can be anything from fruit with yoghurt to porridge.
Lunch could be a pasta dish and evening just blend up some of your dinner. this way seems to work for most parents and it keeps the cost down so you never need to buy baby foods in jars.
hope this helps
I believe it is of great importance that you teach your child to eat wholesome healthy food from the beginning
they must be given a good balanced diet with variety the same as you would expect for yourself.
also they are growing rapidly and using tons of energy so vitamins and protein etc all play a role in your young childs life.
Im surprised that you have not had this discussion with your health visitor as im sure she would have told you the same thing.
Maybe you need some home economic lessons cos it sure sounds like you cant cook
