They always contradict each other. They will never even accept the idea that there might be something higher up than them. Many of them just dismiss God as false before they do some of their own research and look at the sky, both which prove God exists.

Interesting answers.
I find it quite ironic that many, many atheists post questions demanding proof of God from Christians, hurling insults, claiming superior intellect...and yet when it all boils down their disbelief is blind faith..
The point is no one can prove that God does not exist. Atheists do not know how the universe began, they have no explanation....the only thing they know for sure is that they do not want the answer to be God. They are are not just non-believers but anti-God.
I wish I had seen it. I really like O'Riley.

Just because the answer is not currently known doe not mean that God Did It.
200 years ago people did not know what caused lightning. Some parts of the church actually declared lightning rods to be heretical because they tried to deny God's will.
Can you answer the question yourself? Where did God come from?
If he 'just is' or 'always was' why not the same for the godless universe? There are actually some hypotheses that support an eternal (godless) universe.

Maybe they are smarter because they admit to not knowing, but continue to seek, through science, the answers. If they had The Answers, would they stop looking and just promote their views, like religion does? No, they would call it a 'theory' and keep looking around. Absolute Knowledge is Absolute BS. And, why judge a whole philosophy on one person? Is one person's behavior a pattern?

It would be reprehensible to assume that it was god when we don't know the answer. Just because we can't explain it now doesn't mean we won't eventually figure it out. So instead of attributing things we don't understand to god, we should endeavor to unravel the mysteries of the universe in the hope of increasing our understanding of the world around us.

Most atheists will admit that it's POSSIBLE that there is a God. Atheists justify their view on the fact that there's no objective evidence of the existence of a God.
Do you admit that it's POSSIBLE that there is no God? I doubt it. Most Christians will steadfastly maintain that they KNOW their God exists, even when conclusively proving it is impossible.

I love Bill O'Reilly, but he didn't do a very good job last night with the athiest. Just goes to show that even someone as smart as him still has a lot to learn.

Oh dear.
Dawkins was being honest - at the moment we cannot say for certain what caused the first particles to exist. Of course, people are working on this every day to try and make sense of it all instead of, say, making up a story and sticking to it.
Atheists tend to be a bit more honest than theists. I cannot say for certain that there isn't a God or gods but I believe that on the balance of probability this is highly unlikely. I may be wrong but I'm willing to bet my immortal soul that I'm not.
Could you say the same?

That atheist was Richard Dawkins. He could have defended himself given more time. I don't think his arguments against God are sound, but he is a great deal more worth listening to than O'Reilly allowed.
