Try spending some time in the Manhattan financial district. Try lunch places around concentrations of banks and insurance company headquarters. Check out watering holes around the stock exchange.
They're probably out there, you just have to go where they go, and successful men tend to congregate around financial institutions. Lunch is your opportunity to "bump into them" and mingle.

Go near a college or university. I'm in college and I see them all the time. I don't see too many preppy black guys but, I know that they are a rare find

University, there are a lot of them here. African guys are particularly well dressed. Most of them are well groomed kind of preppy,not the AE type

there aren't too many of them out there, anywhere, not just NYC ... and if they are out there, they're gay. i'm not putting anyone down, i'm just stating my observation. try hanging at some place where preps go, you may find one you like.
