When people talk about herpes, they are usually talking about either cold sores or genital herpes.
Cold sores are usually spread by kissing someone who has them. A person can also get them from sharing a drink with someone who has them, sharing lip stick, chap stick, cigarettes, etc. Basically anything a person with cold sores has put on their lips can spread the virus if another person puts their lips on it right after them. Cold sores can also spread to the genital area causing genital herpes for a person. This is usually done by oral sex. Cold sores are not usually considered an STD because the most common way of contracting them is by kissing someone who has them.
Genital herpes is almost always spread by some sort of sexual contact (it is considered a STD). Sex (vaginal, oral and anal) and DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area can spread genital herpes. Genital herpes can also be spread to the lips and mouth area causing cold sores. Again, this is usually done by oral sex. Condoms are not 100% effective in preventing the spread of genital herpes (only abstinence is).
Herpes can also be contracted through birth. If the mother has herpes the baby can contract it from her as it is coming through the birth canal. This is VERY rare. I've read less than 1% of babies are born with herpes.
Herpes is NOT spread by a toilet, shower, sink, bathtub, etc. The virus needs DIRECT skin to skin contact to be spread.
There is NO cure for herpes, there is only treatment. Once a person contracts herpes, they will have it for life.

I got identified with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 3 years back, whilst I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I realize a lot of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/yZXzu everything changed.
Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This system gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others by sharing this story.

Herpes is transmitted through intimate sexual contact where the skin is soft and susceptible. The skin of the mouth and genitals is especially susceptible to herpes. Herpes can be transmitted even when there are genital no lesions present.
