Go to your regular doc first. Tell him your concerns. Your regular doc can order blood tests to determine if you have a nutritional or hormonal deficiency, or other problem that he may be able to treat easily. If he can't treat you, he'll send you to a specialist.

I agree with the others...go to your main doctor, who will refer you to the specialist if needed.
Hair loss may be the result of stress and bad nutrition. You might not be getting enough essential fatty acids, which can be found in certain vegetables, nuts, or fish oils. Check with the doctor first.

I would definitely go to my regular doctor first and then ask them to refer me a specialist.

There are many causes of hair loss. I would see an Internist, and DON'T insist on seeing a dermatologist. Your problem is more likely endocrine (hormonal), with several possibilities.

Regular doctor and insist on him/her sending you to a dermatologist. Blood tests for vitamin deficiencies and hormonal issues are usually standard procedure, if not, ask for them.

Yeah, go and see your G.P. and they will then refer you on to a consultant or specialist who deals specifically with your problem. That's how it works here in the UK anyway.

Sounds like you don't eat foods that you need. You are limiting your diet so severely that you are losing hair.
What's wrong, don't like anything green?
