You need a cast if your leg is broken. Get to a hospital emergency room or doctor ASAP. If you know for sure your leg is broken, splint it to keep it immobile til you can get to the dr. Use an appropriate length of board or some rolled up newspapers, etc. and an ace bandage or other wrapping to make a temp. splint. If your local hospital has no orthopedist, you will be referred for an appt. with one, most likely, to get the cast put on.

Well, if you have a broken leg you can get a cast at an orthopedic doctor or possibly the ER.

A Dr....... Most General Practitioners will put one on for you if the leg does not need to be set. If that is the case then they will refer you to an Orthopedic Dr.
