Many juices have a lot of preservatives and added sugar. A lot of "juice drinks" have very limited juice at all.

Using your own juicer you can make your own health drinks--adding in a bit of carrot or broccoli that would be completely camoflaged by a strong flavored fruit like watermelon or pineapple. If you just add a small amount, you'll add a serving (or half a serving) of vegetables and every lil bit is better for you.

Plus as it is fresh you aren't losing any of the nutritional value of the veggie. I love the health benefits of v8 but the taste is far too "carrot" for me (even the splash). So if I make my own, I can have less carrots in it and more to my exact flavor favorites.
