Very definately they can.. They bark, they use eye contact, and body language, they communicate things to one another thru their smell... And I am not positive, but it seems that they can even read each other's minds...

Of course they can - all animals have methods of communication!

Dogs use vocalisation (barks etc) but body language says a lot more. They use their tail and posture to communicate many things - I had a lecture on wolf pack behaviour once (very relevant to domestic dog behaviour) and there is actually a specific tail and head position to denote which status a dog is in the pack, and if you don't use the correct one for your status when greeting another member of the pack, you're in trouble.

Dog social hierarchy is complex. I could go on for ages, dogs have such a rich variety of ways to communicate with each other, more than we could ever understand! Oh and of course smell - human sense of smell is puny in comparison with dogs, they can read you like a book by smelling you. If a picture speaks a thousand words, a smell speaks a million!

Yes. A lot is eye contact and body language. I've often wondered if the barking that seems to go on between the dogs on our block when out in their yards, where they can't see each other but can hear each other has any special meaning. Like "How's it going? Seen any squirrels today?"

of path canines can communicate - they are %. animals and function a extraordinarily stepped forward gadget of communique which specially includes facial expressions and physique postures. Your 18 month previous can not sit down your new domestic dog down and clarify all the domicile rules yet your spouse might desire to be exceptionally much ideal relating to the domicile preparation. in case you're taking your domestic dog into the backyard the place your older dogs urinates the domestic dog would be greater vulnerable to bypass there as properly. even if this would not advise which you will depart the domicile preparation up on your older dogs. it continues to be your accountability to instruct your domestic dog what he needs to appreciate. I even have continuously had distinctive canines and want it were that easy yet memories of status outdoors on chilly, dark frosty mornings waiting for the hot domestic dog to oblige whilst the older canines have been nonetheless tucked up and dozing on their duvets are nonetheless bright!
