The sack will shrink up in a fews daays/weeks this is very normal - I have seen and 2 year old irish wolf hound be neutered and he had very big sack left i really didn't think it was going to go away but it did.

*lol* Most recently nueterd dogs have that.
About three years ago, vets started leaving the scrotum on dogs because leaving that extra bit of skin reduced the likelyhood of muscle damage. The testes have been removed, but the skin is probably swollen, which is why it's so noticable.
Yes, it will always be there and if he's a short-hair you're always going to have to see it. Yes, it's kind-of gross, but the vet will not remove it for asthetics. Take heart in the fact that your dog is not the only one walking around with his ah... sac.

I know exactly what u r talking about.. I am a dog groomer.. and have noticed several dogs... that have been neutered and they dont have anything! others have like you said.. a deflated sac.. lol
I assume some vets cut out the balls.... and cut the sac away also... where other vets leave the sac..
so.. i dont think it will go away.. Ive seen to many w/ a deflated sac.

Many times the scrotum is swollen for a few days after neutering, but it will shrink and depending on age and size of dog, will pretty much go away.

if they're fully mature (adult) before they're neutered, then the exterior physical components are still going to be there - that's minimized when you spay them as "adolescents" (ie, around 6 months old) because it's the hormones produced by that organ that cause them to continue the sexual differentiation development...
on the other hand, some of that could be swelling from the recent surgery

Yes, it will go away. My dog got fixed about 3 months ago and just recently it became completely flat.

He's probably a bit swollen. If it doesn't subside in a few days, check with the vet.

If he was over 6 months then yes he will still have the stretched sack. It may or may not shrink.

Oh that's just his empty sac.. Depending on how old he is when he is neutered, it should pretty much disappear...
