Jack Roush has run Fords in NASCAR for over 20 years. Kenseth is right now the best Ford driver in NASCAR. Yates has a rookie and old man Ricky Rudd. Ken Schraeder hasn't won in many years in the #21 and Robbie Gordon won't win on an oval this year if at all. Hendrick also has Gordon, Kyle Busch, Mears, and Johnson signed to long term deals and now no owner can have more than 4 teams. Remember that Roush has won 2 of the last 4 championships and Hendrick has won only one of the last 4.

As much as I don't like Kenseth, he is a good driver and any honest race fan will admit it. He did when the Cup in 2003 in a Ford, and with the support of Roush behind him why leave for a team with a different manufacture.
As for going to Hendrick--they already have 4 cars running and that's what NASCAR has limited each team to. Roush also needs to lose their 5th car by 2010 as per NASCAR.

In 2002-2005 nobody was saying that. Those Roush fords were smokin'. Chevy is just ahead of the game right now... in a few years it will cycle around. Ford needs to get some more teams though. They should have tried to get GINN racing to switch to Ford when Martin went over there. I doubt they will get anyone else new for a while, any new manufacturer switches will probably go to Toyota once they get their car/engine combo figured out.

It's not the Make of the car, it's the team, that dictates the success of a driver.
NASCAR has taken the top Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Toyota to the wind tunnel and put them on the Dyno, and they are all pretty equal.
Chevy is winning more and placing better because there's more Chevy teams racing than any other make.
Here's a breakdown of the car makes in last weeks Phoenix race.
21 Chevys
10 Dodges
9 Fords
3 Toyotas
The odds of placing higher are in Chevys favor

Because Jack Rousch pays him a ton of money to drive one. He is from Cambridge, Wisconsin and has realtives that work/worked at the GM truck assembly plant in Janesville. When he was racing against his crew chief, Robbie Reiser, they drove Chevies. He was a GM man all the way until Jack decided to get the best driver he could.

There are a lot of great drivers who could do better in a Chevy. In my opinion, dominance is not good. They need the other manufacturers (Dodge and Ford, not necessarily Toyota) or it would not be stock car racing, but rather Chevy racing. Monopolies are never good and would in time create a watered-down form of racing. That said, imagine Kahne, Biffle, Edwards, Kurt Busch, etc... in Chevy's. Out of all the non-Chevy drivers in the garage, I think that Kahne and Biffle would benefit the most if they were to switch to a Chevy.

Because they don't have Space Shuttle races yet.
Hendricks is already maxed out, RcR still has one seat to fill though :-)
But I doubt Ford will surrender their only consistent-winning driver.
