I would be upset too. Maybe it's time to take matters into your own hands and start saving up for your own car. When I lived at home, my parents always promised me things and assumed I would forget about them so they wouldn't have to deal with it. I never actually forgot, I just got all mad, but at least it got me to do things for myself.

Maybe you should start saving your money so that you can buy your own car, that way IF your dad does buy you a car then you can use the money you've saved to buy gas since it's so expensive now!

No, it is completely natural to feel jealous of him getting something new when he doesn't get you what he promised. The thing to do is get a summer job and buy your own clunker. This way you don't get your hopes up for nothing, you have your car, and most importantly, you got it for yourself!!! You didn't have to depend on someone else to get it for you.

i didnt get my license or car until i was 17...give him time if he says he will then he will, try saying hey dad do you want to go car shopping this weekend or hey dad wanna go driving with me so you can show him you can actually drive, i know i passed my test but i almost hit a car! lol its not hard to pass a driving test these days...just speak up what can it hurt good luck! and ware your seatbelt!

i never bought my 21 year old a car, nor my 18 year old... and i wont buy my 10 year old one... they wouldnt APPRECIATE it if i did... earn it, buy it!
