There's this guy I don't know very well. He's young, he's 16, but he's tall and looks older. He's a virgin, and he asked me if I wanted to be his first one. He's not in love with me or anything, and I'm not in love with him, but he is cute. The ony problem is the age. What would you have done??

Aside from the statuatory rape (age difference DOES make it illegal in this circumstance), there is NO way to avoid some kind of emotional conflict arising from such an act. You are supposed to be the ADULT. Adults DO NOT have sex with children, or teens. It's not just because it is illegal, but because they CANNOT handle the emotional and sexual changes that occur during such an act.

Even in the 'female teacher has sex with younger male students' scenarios, more often than not, those young men are traumatized. It's not the 'fantasy' situation they'd like to believe...it's an adult preying on an emotionally and sexually immature child.

He might be lying to you about his age?..who knows. But if he's really 16 or 17 and you're 25, stay away from him. You could get in a lot of trouble, and most people would think you'd know that. Unless you've lived under a rock all your life, you should know better than to date a minor.

just because your a girl doesnt mean it wouldnt be consider rape in a court of law. did you see that big news story about a year ago about the teacher? She thought the kid was giving her permission and she's still doing time!
besides, what the hell does at a 16 year old have that interests you? find a man your own age girl, you can do better.

I was put in the same situation. The age difference was 7 years give or take a year. I was the older one. I went ahead and had sex with him. It was a big mistake. He became clingy and started sleeping around with so many different girls. 10 years later he is still trying to get me to be with him and he always mentions that i was his first and best, makes me feel bad. So you go with your gut feeling, you know yourself better than anyone:)
