Church-huggers are more likely to be Republicans, but a "Christlike" person could be only a Democrat.

Ask my great-aunt. She is 97, Baptist, Democrat, with a picture of Billy Graham on the coffee table. She was born way before Protestants took a stand on abortion. That was just a Roman Catholic issue. And the old South was Democrat and the more liberal party was Republican.

At a rough estimate from the last presidential election, at least half those voting democrat called themselves Christian.
(The vote was *nearly* 50/50, and taking 75% of the USA population to be self-declared Christians....)

The millions of Christian democrats certainly seem to think so.
What does politics have to do with Jesus Christ anyway? Or do you think Christ approves more of Republicans?

I am. I wonder how the people in the conservative party claim the same at times. Don't get me wrong I fell for it too. They lie just like dems but the dems actually want to help less fortunate and stop the violence of war. Politics and religion or spirituality are not synonymous.

Yes, but they might not agree with all the planks of the Democratic platform.
For instance, you have many pro-life Democrats who want to outlaw or limit abortion.

A christian in my opinion should have more in common witht he democratic party. Remember Jesus was a liberal and Jesus was also VERY political.

I don't think a Christian ought to align him/herself with any political party, but always pray for guidance before entering that booth.
Never vote a party line, always vote your conscience.
That's what I do.

No.
I think that a Christian should be neutral in political affairs as God urges us to be.

I'm not a democrat, but I think you can be both if you are a pro-life democrat. :)
