Is the end of the world near?

Question

I don't think so, but some people say it has all the signs of the end of the world being near. What do you think?

First off the world doesn't end. The only thing that ends is a certain time dispensation. This ole world she is going to keep on spinning because God is going to set up his kingdom right here on earth. How soon is Christ returning you ask? Glad you did. Hint, 1948 +72 =? - 7?=? If you are wise you will perceive that I am giving you a season and not a specific year but instead a 7 yr leeway. But all in all in means we are even at the door of the 2nd advent.

The world governments are working towards the formation of a one world government (it's in the news everyday)...who do you think they want to lead this government? There is no question in my mind that the USA IS the "whore of Babylon" referred to in revelation. The "whore" is now doing the bidding of Satan in order to bring the "New World Order" into power. Both the Mayan and Sumerian calenders end in 2012. Things will get progressively worse until then. Government sources have leaked the fact that they are planning for world wide economic failure in 2008.

Don't know. It's not my business when the world ends. I just need to be prepared when I am about to leave the world. And help other do the same.

It will happen on August 15, 2352, when the last descendant of President Bush orders a strike against the enemy of the United States at that time, the vicious country known as Penvia. The intelligence reports will mistakenly give word of an impending strike against us by the Penvians' trained army of killer penguins. Little do they know, but the penguin army will have already struck, using a campaign of economic terror and by wiping out their mortal enemies, the bunnies. I would certainly hope so...
just when I think I've heard about the worst thing that could ever happen in humanity, something else pops up that utterly makes my insides turn. (i.e. a baby being killed in a microwave, mass suicide bombings, young, young children being sold for sex slaves, etc...)
Crimes against humanity are suppose to be worse nearer to the end times....how much worse can they get. Frightening!

Take it for what you will.

Last night, a kind voice told me, firmly.

"It's time for you to wake up."

It spoke to me in another state of being, not in a voice.

But, I physically woke up, and I was very alarmed.

CNN was on, and I awoke to seeing tragedy and human destruction by humans.

I didn't have the TV on CNN when I fell asleep. It was on CN adult swim. I was watching Futurama when I drifted off.

I woke at 3:11 to that.

3:11. What that means, I don't know.

But I think, it's time for us all to wake up, and realize what we are doing to this world, and eachother. Before it's too late.

People say that all the time. The end of the world has been incorrectly predicted hundreds of times. I will be very VERY shocked if it actually does happen.

The only way the world will end is if a giant asteroid hits it. Or the sun explodes, so the answer is no.
