Since she is a minor and you are not married to her you shouldn't be trying to take her on a five day trip anywhere.

You can't and shouldn't have asked to begin with. She is only 17 and not old enough to do the things you want too. Her mother knows what is best, she also know what you have on your mind.
Only a fool would let their 17 year old daughter go off with some guy on vacation. The fact that you two have only been dating for 6 months makes it all the more absurd.

You must remember, different races have different principles. For some reason - you did the RIGHT thing!
You'll have plenty of time, years from now, to spend alone with your girlfriend. Her mother will like you more for this also.
