What he said was pretty insensitive and the comment was during a pretty bad time. If this kind of talk isn't typical of him then maybe he was showing you that he's noticed your weight loss by making a very bad joke. If it bothers you just tell him that you don't know why he said what he did but you would prefer him to think a bit more sensitively when discussing your weight and make sure he does so at appropriate times.

A lot of guys do like it. Please don't stop losing weight on account of him, you are doing the right thing. You will look great and it will make you happy. He on the other hand is a fool. He wants you to stay the same to keep you, he is insecure and is afraid you won' t like him anymore. Yes I know that you want to tell him it will be ok, but you need to look at the bigger picture. He is the way he is and being insecure it's a good quality. He will try to become more controlling and manipulative. You probably can do better, just a thought.

Hun, you need to marry that boy. Because, he love you just the way you are. He fell in love with you because you are beautiful... big or small.

Dont ever lose weight for anyone other than yourself.

Talk to him about it. Tell him you are losing the weight because you are trying to be more healthy and comfortable with yourself, but you are still the same person inside. Losing weight doesnt mean you are going to be anorexic. You can still keep a nice, firm, full figure and be healthy.

The fact that you're losing weight and starting to look and feel better about yourself isn't always what some guys like or feel confortable with.

For some guys it's a CONTROL issue, and the minute they see their girlfriend starting to look good, it can sometimes seem threatening to them since being thinner will attrack a lot more attention from other guys than if you are heavier.

Some guys like not having to worry about other guys looking at their girlfriend and when that starts to change, guys can say stupid things. Hence, his comment about not having anything to grab on to.

My suggestion.... don't let that bother you, keep losing weight if it makes you feel better and prettier.

Unfortunately, most girls think that guys like the Paris Hilton type which is NOT the case. This is a big myth that if you are skinny you are sexy. Not true at all. Your boyfriend probably likes you the way you are and YOU are hanging on to the Hilton stereotype. Lose weight if it is a health issue for you but otherwise, be yourself!

Good luck!

Maybe he's afrraid if you lose too much weight you'll have a sudden group of new guy admirers (competition) or maybe he's just being sarcastic. You could mention it to him, but overall I think losing a little weight and becoming healthier is a great choice and if he doesn't support that then you're with the wrong guy.

He either was kidding with you, or is insecure about you losing weight, he might lose you to some other guy. You do what is best for you regardless of what he or anyone says. Congrats on losing weight, this is not only beneficial to your health but it does wonders to your self esteem. Keep it up, I just know your guy will whistle when you pass him by.

He is just letting you know that you don't have to lose all of that weight because he will love you no matter what you look like. I just hope that you are losing the weight in a healthy way. If not, maybe he doesn't like what your doing to yourself.
