The N-14s that I have received always have a deadline given by the USCIS officer for you to supply the requested information. The ones that I receive usually give 30-45 days depending on the amount of information requested.

If there is a reason why you can't provide the information within 30 days, I would send a letter to the USCIS office, to the attention of the officer handling your case, and request a continuance to however long you need.

Remember to be courteous in your letter and state the specific reason why you need extra time to complete the N-14. If the hearing officer has any problem complying with your request you will receive either a phone call or a letter fairly quickly.

Good Luck.
