I read a book on quick ways to rebuild credit after Ch7 BK. It said for a credit reporting agency to validate a Ch7 BK once the consumer contests it, they have to see the actual hard copy record when they investigate. The book says that after 3-4yrs your BK record moves from whatever region you filed to their archives . Whenever you want to view the record the hard copy will be sent back to your local "agency" where it will be held for your viewing for 30 days then sent back. What you're supposed to do is make a request to view the record and then when its it transit also request the 3 credit reporting agencies to verify the BK. They only have 30 days to do this and they are supposed to only be able to verify by seeing the hard copy, which is being held for you to view during the same time frame. Since they can't verify the BK record then they will supposedly remove it. Has anyone ever heard/tried this?

.....or the credit bureau can simply log on to Pacer and view your past BK records......

Sorry you are being told a fairy tail...they do not need the actual hard copy.

Sorry, never heard of it. I don't think it will work, either. Shuffling around the hard copy of your bankruptcy papers is not going to stop the bureaus from looking up and verifying a Ch 7. Since it's public record, your county courthouse will still be able to provide proof of the date filed, the date discharged and the like. I wouldn't try it if I was you.

Since bankruptcy's are public records all anyone has to do is log on to Pacer.com and they can look up, view and print any records they want.

I have to do this with some of my customers to prove to the banks that their bankruptcy's are discharged.

Wishful thinking, but believe me it will not work.

This may have worked back in the day with out all the current technology, but rest assured it would fail today.
