I'm 23 years old and for the past year or so I've been getting bad stomach aches but they've only become frequent within the past few months. It is mostly lower abdominal pain but I get upper abdominal pain as well, sometimes the pain is dull and sometimes it's quite sharp. I get quite gassy during most of these stomach aches (both ends.) I thought it was probably indigestion or something of the sort, I've been taking Gavilast (similar to Gaviscon) and it works ok but it seems to take ages to kick in. I'm keeping a food diary and plan to go to the DR soon if these continue.. the only noticable thing that could be causing it is caffiene... I seem to have stomach aches more often when I've drank caffiene. I drink alcohol fairly regularly too although this has never seemed to cause the stomach aches. I don't experience nausea at all. The only medication I take is Cerazette (birth control.) Can anyone help put my mind at rest and tell me what you think it could be?? Thank you!

I think it's wise that you will be seeing a doctor- soon. You may be getting an Ulcer. It's really hard to say- without a medical evaluation. Have it checked out. That's the BEST way to put your mind at ease. :)
