With any luck they will realize that all of their faiths are fundamentally flawed and accept that ART is the only way, other than direct experience, to transfer knowledge of truth...
Demanding worship is not the interest of a loving God, and if God is not loving, then it is also weak and we shouldn't be trying to find ways to spread his lies, we should be trying to figure out how to take his plague bearing, famine inducing baby killing @ss OUT!

We can already see the effects and they are not good. Instead of people working towards finding the ultimate Truth they are watering down their beliefs and thereby watering down the Truth. Compromise has led to chaos.

For organized religion this means that it is becoming harder and harder to nail people down on what they believe. You've Got millions of people calling themselves "Christians" yet they believe contradictory things. This is impossible.

God does not contradict Himself.

Jesus prayed "that all might be One." Religious ecumenism and interfaith movements cause doctrinal disunity.

The "harmony" you see on the surface (i.e. people combining worship services and praying and singing together) is very deceptive.

Christ established only one Church.

Interfaith movements force die-hard conservatives into ever more extreme positions. One can but hope that the ecumenical movements will prevail against the odds. Sorry to be pessimistic.

"I" think that we should focus more on God and His love through His son Jesus Christ. He wants us to love Him and tell others about His love. I am not knocking organized religion but I do believe that it can get in the way of what is most important when we focus more on the rules, regulations, dogma and "clubness" of it than on the One that we are gathered to worship. If the lines soften in the process - so be it.

unigod,
one god fits all. it is not such a stretch.
god is conceivably singular in nature, if at all.
we have grown fractal in out view of the story, not so much in our view of god. at least through the scope of major religions.
