Hmmm...lets see, there are SO many questions one isn't sure where to begin, but I'll try:
1. Joseph Smith was a 32nd degree mason, and the temple ceremonies are more masonry than they are ancient Israelite. Why?
2. Why are their no Mormon artifacts? (i.e. the golden plates hidden, and then taken away....no cities matching ancient cities in B of M etc.?)
3. Why do the DNA tests of the Indians not a match for Israelite, when the mormon claim has always been that the lamanites are of Israelite descent?
4. Why was the Book of Abraham Papyrus found to be a funerary document about a man named Hor...found out and then covered up by the church?
5. Why does the Mormon church so seriously contrast the Bible, when the Bible is an authenticated document with many thousands of artifacts to back it up?
6. Why do the Mormons believe JS account of the first vision when he was the only one there, with no witnesses, and in the Bible when Jesus left his disciples after his death he told them that no one would see Him again until he came again in the Sky, so not to believe anyone who said they saw Jesus. Matthew 24
7. Why are their 4 different accounts of the first vision? The church chose the one where he said he saw Jesus and God, the Father...but their were others where JS said angels appeared to him etc.
8. Why has the Mormon Church made so many changes on things that are eternal and supposedly unchangeable?
9. Why do you believe your prophet just by faith, without asking some of these questions yourselves? Faith is "evidence of things not seen", When their is "evidence" for something, or against you are suppose to at least research it. Why don't you?
10. Where in the Old Testament are their garments? The only garments worn were outward garments that had any religious significance (the prayer shawls with tzitzits)
11. Since the LDS church claims to be a restoration of the Old Church why are their so many differences (eg. question number 10)
Hey, I respect your right to be in whatever religion you choose, but really you almost have to be a non-thinking person, or a person who doesn't care about truth, to not be able to see through these things about the Mormon church. No offense, but you asked....I hope you think about it.

Tithing is a commandment of God. " 8 Will a guy rob God? yet ye have robbed me. yet ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and options. 9 Ye are acursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this entire united states of america. 10 deliver ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine abode, and tutor me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if i won't have the ability to open you the abode windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room adequate to get carry of it. 11 and that i will rebuke the devourer to your sakes, and he shall not break the end results of your floor; neither shall your vine solid her fruit earlier the time interior the sphere, saith the Lord of hosts. " Malachi 3:8-11 The church respects this commandment as much as chasity, sobriety, and repair. They infrequently point out tithing; no bowl would be handed around at church. Tithing is a private factor. on the different hand, you won't have the ability to rob the Lord and assume financial help from the church. Nor are you able to assume utilization of the Temples that are equipped and supported via tithing. P.S. - it incredibly is astounding how devil rages every time somebody needs to stay a greater religious and virtuous existence. If the church wasn't actual, it does not have quite some individuals attempting to tug it down.

~~~~s-16,,,,, My question is somewhat rhetorical,,,Why would any reasonably aware person accept the notion that a 15 year old boy in the mid-19th century, claimed to have a visitation by an angel in the forest, who gave him golden tablets with a god's instructions, had no witnesses to this event, could not prove the existence of the tablets, could not repeat these instructions in the same way when asked at different periods in time and yet still insist that he was a prophet with Exclusive Communion with the True God? The more one asks with honest scrutiny the simplest of questions one can clearly see the Bogus Claims of some kid in the wilderness who decided he wanted to be a unique preacher of what most likely was the only book he ever read, like most average people of his time.
Hey Socmum, fellow LDS here. I don't have any questions but I do want to say that I think it's cool what you are doing here, trying to provide some explanations about our beliefs. You are also doing so in a respecful, open-minded manner. Hopefully others will respond the same way.
Hi. LDS here myself. have been for many many years. Will be till I die. I do not have any questions for you, as I have been able to resolve any that has ever come up. I have resolved them not only with logic and reason, but have done better. I have asked God if the things the Mormons teach is true. And by the power and influence of the Holy Ghost, God has made the truth of those things known. That is all that matters to me. If God uses revelation and inspiration to share his will to me, who am I to contradict God? I have found out for myself that Mormonism is true.
I am LDS and I just want to say that I hope people don't "bash" even though you said you wouldn't mind. You are being respectful of their opinions and differences of beliefs, I hope they do the same for you.
God bless,
Sarah
