Yes--it's extracted from corn just like sugar is extracted from sugar cane.

fructose is natural but HFCS is not a naturally occurring substance it is manufactured to be that way.

High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is produced by processing corn starch to yield glucose, and then processing the glucose to produce a high percentage of fructose. It all sounds rather simple--white cornstarch is turned into crystal clear syrup. However, the process is actually very complicated. Three different enzymes are needed to break down cornstarch, which is composed of chains of glucose molecules of almost infinite length, into the simple sugars glucose and fructose.

Natural does not mean good for you. Corn syrup is derived from a natural ingredient. However, it is highly processed and stripped of any nutrients, like white sugar. Unfortunately, the FDA allows the statement of "all natural" as long as no man-made chemicals are added (like artificial flavorings). hope this helps.

No, it's just another of the wonderfully dangerous additives put in our foods, like modified food starch. Corn syrup is natural, food starch is natural, watch the wording of things to decipher it's ingrediants.

Its about quality, not quantity.

Go to http://www.google.com and then type in GMO and it will take you to Genetically Modified Organisms, which is what High Fructose Corn Syrup is.

Also, go to http://www.dorway.com and then read about artificial sweeteners and the symptoms they cause.

Lastly, drink Italian or high end mineral water sodas with "real" fruit juice. Very satisfying and worth the price. You will never want a cheap soda again.

No, it is made in the lab. the FDA lets alot of things be marked "lite" because the spelling is incorrect.
