this is very true. christianity is very diverse. It's because the (organized) chruches in the past have been corrupt and have been associate with various kingdoms and have been ruled by those kings. They used the church as a way to control the people. I think that they thought that a human God and the thought of such a powerful being returning at an moment was more persuasive than just a man.

Another thing is that before these churches were founded, there was no orgnaization in Christianity and people copied down the Gospels not knowing how true their version was. So now we have over 40 different stories of Jesus's life. Very confusing. I'm glad the Muslims have preserved their holy book.

I think your misguided because they were all written by men. There is no proof it came from God other than the fact that someone told you it did and you were taught that since you were born so now its part of who you are and what you chose to believe. Whether it is the first version or the 10th version. They are all written by men. You chose to believe it was written by God or inspired by God.

Besides its all the same God that Christians, jews and muslims believe in. Aren't you all children of Abraham?

You religious people argue about such silly things.

If youre a good person, work hard and feed your family- why are you still bad if your faith is different?

You religious people need a little less piousness and a load more empathy for others.

- The Bible is much older than the quran.

- The quaran contains much of the old testiment of the Bible.

- Jesus is in the quran.

- Mohammed studied the Bible before writing the quran.

- The translations of the Bible are the same for the most part, if you study the old text, even the Torah, you'll know this to be true.

- The quran speaks of earthly and rewards of the flesh where as the Bible teaches about improving things of the spirit.

- I own both a quran and a Bible, I use the quran to have an idea about Islamist points of view. The Bible is the ONLY instruction manual for living according to the commandments of God. See for yourself, by studying.

If you study the history of Christianity the Catholic faith is the original faith and then it split up into various sects. Catholic means Universal or whole and is for all people of all faiths. Some faiths have a measure of God but the Catholic faith has the complete measure. The BIble is a group of books written over the Centuries by different authors but all inspired by the Word of God and The Spirit of God. Jesus gave Peter the repsonsibility of looking after His church and the current Pope is a direct link to all the popes before and to Peter.

"What separates us as believers in Christ is much less than what unites us." (Pope John XXIII)

Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love in Christ.

muslims believe that the quaran is from their so-called god allah... there is only one quaran...there is only one islam... the quaran is islam and islam is the quaran... the quaran clearly states that all who do not submit to the law of the quaran and islam are to be killed... what dose that make all who follow islam, relative to the rest of the human population.... can you say... enemies.

There is only one Church and that is The Church of Which Jesus The Christ is The Head.... membership in any man invented "denomination" or "sect" means nothing to God. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.

Perhaps the reason that there are so many different beliefs about Jesus and Christianity, is because as Christians we have free will and are now safe to disagree with each other. You wouldn't know about that would you?

"Say : O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine. (The Noble Quran, 109:1-6)"

Seek knowledge....The Holy Bible has been translated from Hebrew, Greek and Araemic.
Has the Koran been translated?
A great number of historical facts are intimately united to our Faith in such a way that one cannot deny the historical facts in the Bible, without denying the Faith.

Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Romans
Chapter 8

16 For the Spirit himself giveth testimony to our spirit, that we are the sons of God.

"The Spirit himself"... By the inward motions of divine love, and the peace of conscience, which the children of God experience, they have a kind of testimony of God's favour; by which they are much strengthened in their hope of their justification and salvation; but yet not so as to pretend to an absolute assurance: which is not usually granted in this mortal life: during which we are taught to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Phil. 2. 12. And that he that thinketh himself to stand, must take heed lest he fall.

6 Not as though the word of God hath miscarried. For all are not Israelites that are of Israel: 7 Neither are all they that are the seed of Abraham, children; but in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 8 That is to say, not they that are the children of the flesh, are the children of God; buy they, that are the children of the promise, are accounted for the seed. 9 For this is the word of promise: According to this time will I come; and Sara shall have a son. 10 And not only she. But when Rebecca also had conceived at once, of Isaac our father.

"All are not Israelites"... Not all, who are the carnal seed of Israel, are true Israelites in God's account: who, as by his free grace, he heretofore preferred Isaac before Ismael, and Jacob before Esau, so he could, and did by the like free grace, election and mercy, raise up spiritual children by faith to Abraham and Israel, from among the Gentiles, and prefer them before the carnal Jews.

Some say half full and some say half empty. Some emphasize on going up and some concentrate on going down.

If you don't raise anything up they don't tear it down!.
