The message life on the first page lasts an average of less than 8 minutes and at peak 3 minutes. The things the Christians post are questions that are consistantly self-serving and repetetive, or group think questions and answers. I can't say it is a conspiracy, but I can say they read like a bunch of programmed clones for the most part.
I'm going to time this questions on and off and I'll put it in details.

It took 4 minutes to be listed and the first time it showed it alrady had 4 minutes, so 4 minutes should be subtracted from the time it goes to page two.

they are programed and not capable of giving a rational explanation for anything. this, in my opinion, is because they feel that they must answer as a christian and not a rational person. even though they might have doubts or questions about their religion they are forbidden, by the bible, to ask or wonder or question. therefore they respond with scripture that does nothing more than place more doubt on the validity of christianity. i have asked questions before and instead of getting an answer or simply an "i dont know i just chose to believe". i got tons of scripture that. and people saying i was goin to hell for asking. the sad fact is that most christians are not speaking for themselves. they are just giving answers that have been programed in them. there is nothing wrong with believing what you want, but when a religion, government anything in power, does not allow criticism or questioning it becomes corrupt. and it keeps its followers ignorant because they are easier to control.

I've thought about this and I conducted an experiment.

What I did was a cross-posted two Pagan/Magick oriented questions in the Religion & Spirituality and Mythology & Folklore section, based on the theory that such questions would be more well recieved in M&F than in R&S.

Here's what I found out -- I got a lot of good answers from both sections, and a few rude ones. In R&S, the rude answers were Christian, in M&F they seemed to be more Athiest.

Maybe Yahoo needs a special section for non-mainstream religions, the supernatural, etc? It wouldn't entirely solve the problem, but at least it wouldgive us a home.

I noticed the same phenomena, Terry, and I've tried to ask some thought provoking questions because I truly enjoy spiritual discussions, yes, I said ... DISCUSSIONS. I felt the needed to emphasize that because for the most part all I've witnessed, in my short time here, are a lot of stock questions and repetitive or wise a$$ answers.

I'm wondering if perhaps it is a conspiracy or just a mirror of what type of white bread Christian society we live in. I mean, my children get a holiday from school on Good Friday and many businesses are closed on Christmas Day but the same cannot be said for Samhain or Diwali or Yom Kippur.

Why do you single out the Christians for this fault? We're certainly not the only ones who fall into this category. How about all of the endless variations of "If creation is true, then how do you explain (fill in the blank?" and "How (fill in the blank with insult of choice) are these Christians?"

Atheists ask their fair share of repetitive and pointless questions around here, too. They're just as self-serving and sound just as much like brainwashed drones as any other person who's convinced that they have the only handle on truth.

Edit:

And apparently some atheists have a problem accepting reality, based on the thumbs-down. That, or else you haven't been around this Forum long enough to know that the issue isn't one-sided by any means.

to have a discussion it takes two, or more in this case. If people of other beliefs want to share their beliefs with us they need to do that and not make all the cute little one liners i keep seeing. that only teaches us you think it's a joke. a sense of humor is a great thing but there are a lot of folks who come here only to make fun. I don't have a problem hearing what you believe or why.
