I really want the nikon d50 and I found this website, but I'm not too sure about it. It seems kind of fishy. Has anybody bought anything off of here?

The first reference I could find to Underbid.com was from a guy who had a hard time ordering bathroom fixtures through them! It seems Underbid just passes your order (for anything) along to real stores. In the case of this D50, they link to Soho Electronics. Here's their version of the add: http://www.sohoelectronics.com/Default.asp?Mode=Details&Code=d50-28-70-70-300-1gb
Soho Electronics also doesn't inspire confidence.
Nor does the Nikon kit they´ve put together. The Sigma 28-70mm is supposed to be your main lens but the zoom range is completely screwed up on a digital body. Everything else in the kit is garbage. With that in mind, the asking price actually seems reasonable.
I'd pass on this offer.
If you want a D50 - and it is a nice camera - you'll have to look harder. You can find a factory refurb for about $400 (body only) at Adorama.com, or you could look for used models. The D50 has been out of production for about a year. (It was replaced by the inferior D40.) If you find the D50 body and add something like a Nikon 18-135mm lens ($320 retail), you'll have a fantastic combination. Or you could shop for a great deal on a used Nikon 18-70mm zoom lens. That lens also sells for around $320 retail. These kits will give you much better performance than the underbid.com kit. And since you’re not paying for all that extra junk, the total price is lower.

I don't know anything about underbid.com, but it looks like OMG has done the research you need. I'm just amplifying his suggestion to get a factory refurbished (and warranties) Nikon D50, which you can easily find in eBay. That's where I got a refurb. It looked like new and had a "new" warranty from Nikon.

I don't know if this website is legit or not, but while their choice of lenses would be good for a full frame camera, for the D50 you won't really have any wide angle capabilities with the lenses they offer. If you want to shoot wide angle, you will need a lens with 17mm or 18mm as the smallest number (not 28).

Yeah, it looks fishy to me too. I guess I wouldn't trust it.
