when the child(ren) didn't ask to be here? I see parents do this all the time. I would NEVER make my son feel that way because me and his father wanted to "have a good time" LOL. What do you guys think about this??

When I say owe' them something, I mean things like givgin them money, letting them run all over you and throw things in your face like, "All I do for you" things like that.

Because most Parents are immature, They had children to fill a void that was missing, so they make babies and expect to be worshiped, when that doesn't happen they get mad and begin to manipulate children into submission with guilt trips because we don't understand what true love is. My parents worked hard to pay the bills took vacations without bringing me & my sister, sent us away every summer gave us a hugs on their time but wasn't around when we needed a hug, never took time to make an emotional connection. Now they wonder why we have nothing to talk about.
It's just like that song goes "Cat's & the Cradle".
A real parent is secure, makes room for their child to succeed and knows when to step up as a mentor or take a back seat as the child matures. Those are the parents that get to live in as in-laws and are never forgotten on special days.
Family is family we should always back each other up not drive eachother away. That always starts with how the parent behaves. My bad experiences have made me a better parent but didn't make my marriage divorce proof.

I think most parents just want their kids to acknowledge how hard it is to raise a kid, and appreciate the fact that they tried their best even if their best wasn't good enough. However, a lot of parents don't know how to express this in a way that won't offend said kids.
...Of course I say this having never actually been a parent. :P I've got some of that stuff from my mom too though, heh.

the toddlers are harmless. while they attain adulthood, they are responsible for his or her strikes and are not harmless. I also have a pal who replaced into an Israeli tank commander. He had to make a chop up-2d determination approximately shooting a boy who replaced into approximately to hurl some thing at his tank unit. replaced into it a "rock," as an excellent number of human beings are conditioned to have self assurance? Or replaced into it a grenade? He shot the boy. The boy replaced into holding a grenade. Had he not shot the boy, the full unit would have been killed. while are the Palestinians going to end utilising newborn infantrymen and blaming the Israelis while they defend themselves? A grenade interior the hand of a youngster is merely as deadly as a grenade interior the hand of an grownup.

My parents did not make us feel that way. They had their issues and were not perfect AT ALL but they never made any of us feel as if we owed them anything. I am sorry yours feel this way. It is smart of you to be aware of this and not make your son feel that way.

CHILDREN DON'T OWE THEIR PARENTS ANYTHING BUT SHOULD HAVE RESPECT FOR WHAT GOES INTO RAISING A CHILD. (ONCE THEY REACH A CERTAIN AGE). KIDS DON'T ASK TO BE BORN BUT SHOULD BE ABLE TO APPRECIATE AND SHOW RESPECT FOR THE HARD WORK BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS THAT GOES INTO RAISING A CHILD. BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY MOTHERS AND FATHERS THAT DON'T FULFILL THEIR OBLIGATIONS AS A PARENT

lets face the facts ok? for one you can never repay your parents after all they thought enough of you to endure the pain you caused coming in this world not counting staying up all times of the night b/c you were sick making you go to school, to church, all the ball games, recitals. that's work hon and that also is love and in return you should show love i bet if you were in need right now! guess who you would run too?[your own] they may have had some good times alone the way but they did not kill or abuse you ...think about it!

My children "owe" me their respect. I earned their love, respect and deserved to be honored by them. That's it.
