Asking someone to be professional shouldn't make waves. Who is in charge? There are simple rules for office etiquette. No one shoud be singing in a shared office - unless you agreed that it was ok. Oprah and Gayle got into it because Gayle can't sing....(Oprah and Gayles Great Adventure)
Why can't she use earphones and NOT sing. Gum popping is also immature. Ask her to stop. If she doesn't maybe it could be the next topic at the office meeting. You work there too - say something, in a professional manner. Don't just complain.

There is always a time to delegate responsibilities, and this, I think, is one of them.
I would very nicely ask one or the other of your parents, (your choice) to very nicely ask the co-worker to realize that sometimes her gum chewing and singing is distracting to others in the office who are trying to work. And it would be so nice to work with her if she could please try to be a little more considerate for the concentration of others.
This way you don't have to be the bad guy and it's much more likely that she will get the message.

Try to drown her out by listening to your own music, or (since they are your parents) kindly mention to your mom (i prefer to speak with my mom than my step-dad) about the noise not on work hours. And laugh about it, no need to be so serious. I have a co-worker i dont enjoy and theres things he does that drives me wild but i drown him out by doing my own thing like avoiding him to the best of my ability. I told my mom if i had a door (im a receptionist & parts/warranty manager so no office for me, just a desk at the door) that i would slam it... Get a radio :) or hum off tune yourself! Let the fun begin.

Get some of those noise cancelling headphones to wear at work... eventually she'll ask why you're wearing them. Then you can gently explain that you have a hard time blocking out distractions when you work... don't blame her... but hopefully it will make her think, and the headphone will help anyway

Wear all black, including a ski mask, and wait for her in the parking lot. When she comes close, pop out from behind a bush and side-kick her in the boob.
No waves. No awkward confrontations. Just a splattered boob and a couple days of quiet around the office while she recovers at home.

Wear a head set to listen to your own music.
Or just simply say..."you have got to stop popping that gum!"

CUT THE CORD!
Find yourself a job away from "mommy" & "daddy", then make all the waves you need to!
