I would say it is quite apparent you have issues with wanting something until you get it. The needing and wanting consumes you and once received you like the rush and then it's over, can be closely compared to a orgasm. The you move onto another mission that will give you the same feeling.

This could be a compulsive disorder and depending on the severity you may need to get help for this. You can try to fix this yourself but it is uncommon. You should definitely make a conscientious effort to not let others suffer do to your compulsion ie women you are sleeping with, your dog...

you are letting your feelings govern your actions too often. Boredom or loss of interest are forms of "I don't feel like it." If you allow your feelings to dictate your actions, you will behave like a fikle, non-comittal gadfly who jumps from thing to thing.

What you should do is honor your committments, not your feelings. If you make a promise, keep it no matter what (unless the outcome is hurtful or illegal). If you lose interest in a pet, keep it no matter what. If you lose interest in a cell phone, so what? Keep it. It won't kill you. Once you really stick to your committments, you will learn to say "Yes" to far fewer committments because you know that you will have to see it through to the end. You will get better at being more careful with your time and energy. You will get sick of committing to crappy things.

Operate from values and committments, not feelings.

It sounds like you get bored easily. Why? Do you feel like you "figured out" something and then you lose interest? Not sure, but that's what I'd be asking myself. If you can figure out what is similar experience with all these things right before you lose interest, that may help.

Also, you may need to train your brain through autosuggestion if (like the dog or gf) you want to keep an interest. Maybe you need to keep making up lists of things that you still want to know, or things to do with that person/pet.

Hope this helps!

Your question is not clear at all. If you have lost your interest in everyday things, then you should call your doctor and make an appointment. Depression is serious and can cause many other problems.
Good luck.

You're obviously depressed. Get on an antidepressant. It will do wonders for you and I'm sure after a while, you will get your interest levels back to what they used to be.

Don't make any drastic changes to your life (getting rid of your dog, girlfriend etc) until you talk to a doctor.

so you easily lose interest in things? sounds like a symptom of depression, my friend. you should take some solitude time out and do some soul searching...if worse comes to worst, you should try seeking professional help

It sounds like you are depressed. Try taking a supplement called Sam-e and if it doesn't help you (it won't hurt you) then go to the Dr. and let him know how you feel.
