I just had my puppy laser spayed Saturday and noticed after she completed woke up she began to hold up one of her legs up while laying down and when she starts to walk she would stop and start to lick herself in that area while crying I took her back to the vet and he gave her some antiboitics to take at home and told me if she continues with the same behavior the next morning to bring her back I'm beginning to think that she may have some nerve damage from the laser Should I have to pay the vet to correct the problem and is the problem fixable and what should I do This is the first time something like this has happened to one of my pets

I think some pain relief medication would probably be a good start, as well as the antibiotics.

Just so you know, laser surgery isn't a huge deal - it's just used for the cutting instead of a scalpel. It cauterises (stops bleeding) as it cuts.

If you really believe the vets have done something wrong to your dog (don't be too hasty here) talk to them about it first. If their explanation does not satisfy you, then by all means take the dog to another vet.

5 months is NOT too young to spay a b itch. We usually say 5 1/2 months to be safe, but many dogs are plenty ready by 5 months old.

I just had my dog spayed about a week ago, and she mostly just layed around, but once she did get up and start moving she did lick a lot. The holding one leg up and whimpering isn't normal. If the antibiotics don't work and she continues that behavior, I would def. take her back to the vet. They will have to check her out and determine what is going on. If they did cause nerve damage, or something else that is caused by them I would insist that they fix her at their cost. You paid good money to have your dog spayed to begin with, you shouldn't be out more money because of their mistake.

If the vet did somthing wrong and they are an honest vet, they should fix it. I would just give it some time. She did have her insides taken out. That is a quite invasive surgery. I have helped out with many spays, but none which were done with lasers. I hope she is ok.

Why would you have your 5 month old puppy spayed? you have to wait until she is at least 7 months, anyway, I had my puppy spayed about a month ago, she slept most of the day bcs she was on painkillers, after that she would run, jump, all the stuff that she was not supposed to do, you should take your dog back to the vet and explain him your concern, I would take her to another vet to get a second opinion, good luck you you and hope your puppy will feel better soon.

it is not uncommon for canine that are 5 months previous start off their warmth cycles. the commonplace is approximately 6 months besides. i might get her spayed and forget approximately approximately her toddler teeth. My vet spays and neuters around 4 months of age, and he's never pronounced pulling toddler teeth. Your vet makes a valid element approximately some canine who never unfastened their toddler teeth, yet perhaps he's in simple terms finding to make some extra money via telling you to tug the teeth as long as your canine is sedated. he will probaby attempt to tell you that in case you may desire to have the canine's teeth pulled interior the destiny, she'll might desire to be sedated returned and that'll value you greater, yet do not supply in to his stress. Do what you experience is nice, not what he needs you to do. positioned the emphasis on getting your canine spayed, and trouble approximately her teeth if and whilst they ever pose a topic.

5 months is too young to get that pup fixed already. they have to be 7 months before you can do it. she was too young to do that too at this stage of the game. I would get another vet to recheck your dog.
