Not sure about websites but David's Bridal has lots of dresses for under $1000. The only problem is their service sucks!! If you go make sure during the week and daytime and make an appointment

Wow under $1,000. Are you looking for a custom made designer gown? Outside of NYC I dont think I've seen a gown that was more than $1,000.
I'd say every local vendor near you has close to 100 gowns (davids bridal more like 500) gowns for less than $1,000.
Just grab a copy of the yellowpages.
Completely agree with the above post though. I bought my gown at Davids Bridal. Love the gown but service is terrible. Alterations took about 5 months on my gown. It was getting to the point where I was about to move a tent in there and watch them do the alterations to make sure they finished in time (it was about 10 days before wedding)

I purchased my dress from Arena Bridal in Shelby, MI (metro Detroit/Macomb County area;). It was a designer dress, Alfred Angelo and it cost a little under $800.
There are tons of bridal shops in Michigan. I recommend you visit http://www.theknot.com to select salons that are in the area you are looking for. The Knot also provides links to their websites so you can visit their direct site as well.
